Default Visited my local dealership the other day

I needed to get some brake fluid for my NB, so I loaded my youngest son into the car and headed down to my local dealership. My son was absolutely fascinated by seeing all the cars in the service deptarment up and going out of the garage doors. I got the brake fluid, went to the cashier to pay for it, and my son saw the showroom floor. That was it! He wanted to go see all the cars, so I took him out there. He's only 5 and is and is a car guy already! He walked past a Jetta, a Passat, and walked right up to a convertible green NB. He looked inside, asked where the keys were, and said that he wanted it when he gets older! I wasn't shocked at all by this, because he's been playing with me and my wife's car keys since he was about 2 or 3. What shocked me was when a salesman and I started talking about the new Passat, he walked between us, patted the sales guys pockets, and asked for the key to the Passat. The guy was really cool and gave it to him, knowing that he couldn't figure out how to get the key out. I just had to remind him to not push the red button. My kid was all over that car for about a half hour. It was really nice, but for almost 30k, I'd rather get a used Audi 1.8t with all wheel drive. Just thought I'd share my experience.

You are raising a good son. A future "car guy"! Congratulations!

I'm at the dealer at this moment, and if I had my son (11), he'd be bored. I, however, am in VW heaven! Triple Black NBC in front of me, Jetta GLI's, Eurovans...... Heaven!

Great story I love spending time like that with my kids. Sounds like you also have a cool dealership in your area.

I always loved playing in cars when I was a little kid.
