I have to agree. You're asking for it by meddling in other people's business. SOME people actually form bonds with their pets and if they find out that you're the one ratting them out...I just hope you don't park your cars outside.

Honestly John, I hope it doesn't seem like I'm picking on you or anything. I'm never 100% serious about anything I post here, BUT I once lived in an apartment and was ratted out for getting a puppy for Xmas (for Yul) and ya know what? We had to move. It was no biggie, we needed to gtfo anyway as we needed more space for the boy, but it still sucked. I dunno, I guess it's just kinda narc-y to me. Is that even a word?! Well it is now!!!! But I don't mean to be negative towards you, just sick of your crap that's all. LMAO I kid! I kid!

We got ratted out by some old bag when we got Rocky. We planned on telling the leasing office when we had the $300 non refundable pet fee but old indian long teet decided she would tell for us and we got a nasty letter and a bill for $400!!

yeah, but dogs aren't allowed here. and not to be a pain, but it wasn't fun cleaning up the old tenants pet's urine when we moved in here. rules are rules. i side with john on this one, sorry guys. if they want pets, they are the ones who should move.

We knew we weren't supposed to have a dog, but it was a small dog and we already had a cat (also a no no) so we figured to hell with it. When we moved they tried to charge us for 'pro rated carpet use'.....whatever the hell that is!!!!

Yeah...thats the only good thing about where I live now. There was no walk through so they cant charge me for any damages to this place but honestly, when we leave here it'll look better than when we moved in

I swear that's the only life lesson my mom taught me, take TONS of pics and do a walk through BEFORE you move into a place. That way they can't bone you when you leave. We rented for years and always did that and every single time, they tried to jack us but we had cold hard proof that the place was a dump when we moved in.

noooooo pets are allowed here. and we have wooden floors. with pee stains in every corner. it's gross. in all honesty? people need to abide by rules or they should have paid to have the floors resanded. but i digress. i think john and i are the only ones in agreement. rules are rules for a reason. maybe i am nice and wouldn't want someone to move in here after me and have to deal with pet skank. your own home is another thing. not like i own this apt and can sand floors and sell it later.

i am so done with this pet stuff! i want a pet, but will wait, like a responsible person, till i am living in a place that allows them or am in my own home.

When i called the office to ask today i didn't introduce myself. the first words out of my mouth were "what's you policy on pets" to which i was told "we have a strict no pets policy". If we pay rent in this building we have the right to equal and fair treatment. My rent doesn't go to cleaning up dog and cat crap from other tenants.

And this is not the first time someone called me a narc.
And yes it does seem like you pick.

I don't mess with my neighbors as evidenced by the old bag next door who's always knocking on our door and giving us gifts. I'm a good neighbor. If i have to suffer through puppy training in a no pet apartment, than it sucks to be that person.

True but at the same time...no walk through, no documentation for them either. I know a few people who have lived here and everyone of them got their security back right before they even moved out and every last cent of it, too
The last apartment we lived in we had a walk through when we moved in and out and we got screwed hard!! We were charged for things that were already wrong with apartment before we moved in but because we were both naive we had no idea what we were in for. There was a small chip in my bathtub when we moved in. We were charged $150 for it! Amongst other stupid things.
