A peach, if we're still talking about last night's dinner. It was designed for speed, so's to get in a video of Songcatcher. Later still, a thoroughly decadent Southern Pecan Pie tartlet.

As for what's for dinner tonight, that's pushing it. I'm thinking grits souffle with bacon.

after today's cruise-in, went to Pierce's Pitt Barbeque in Williamsburg.

had the JC'S Special...a five ounce pulled pork bar-b-que sandwich with "Doc" Pierce's Original Bar-B-Que Sauce with cole slaw, fries, a regular drink and a home baked macadamia nut cookie.

tough life, but someone's gotta do it.

That sounds pretty good Warren.

We went to Cracker Barrel and had a little country cookin'. I had country-fried steak, mashed taters, turnip greens, fried apples, biscuits and sweet tea. A nice recovery from my steak-um sammich last night

OOoooo, sounds yum!

I roasted up some red peppers, and a chicken earlier. Also made a batch of chunky spiced apple sauce.

Just tore up the chicken and made a couple chicken pot pies.

Last night was home made meatballs and sauce with garlic bread.

Apparently, this weekend is all about the comfort food.

Thinking of Labskaus (which I spelled Lapskaus for the first 40 years of my life). It's the North German equivalent of corned beef hash, which has an English equivalent: lobscouse. Found a recipe for it in a cookbook meant to accompany the Aubrey-Maturin series (Master and Commander / The Far Side of the World), but it doesn't resemble ours much.

Salad on the side and fruit to follow.

Yup, all you can eat, $12.99. And let me tell you, it's really a lot of food for that price. Mang. Al, you would love to get yer grub on there.

We need to have a massive rally in Dallas, get all the peeps to show up, have some BBQ...
