![]() I read Pitchfork all the time. It's a fantastic site. Read that article today, but the link isn't there. Found others, but i guess Sony shut those down. I'm just seeing it as i'm not stealing since i plan on buying the CD anyway. I think i found a few songs using Limewire, but i don't know how complete they are and which versions are which. I'm just a nerdy musical completist. I can't have one album, i have to have every darn version of it if i like it. Example? Superdrag only has about 4-5 albums, yet somehow i have well over a dozen CDs of them. I just get addicted to songs and junk like that. I will find the songs. Just a matter of time. ![]() |

Well John, it's been a year. Did you ever find it? Not to tease, but I listened to it again today.
I've got it all in mp3s if you want! Let me know!

Personally I like the original version better than the released version.
Something I heard a few months ago: it seems Jon Brion still contemplated finishing his version and releasing it, so it would have been a 3rd version of the album. I'd be really interested to hear that one! |

I heard that as well. Jon Brion is just an amazing talent, from his playing on various things like his solo stuff and with various bands, his scoring for films, and now his production.
And yeah, the original Extraordinary Machine seems to be the better. I've heard some of the retail versions and they are good, but i like my music rawer. |
