Talking New iPod Nano thread!

Bringing this back because I figure iPod fans are also probably music lovers, and music lovers might like this. Plus, the Nano is cool.

So I didn't get a new iPod Nano, or an adapter to hook an iPod into my car stereo. What I did was go to the audiologist and get molds made for custom inserts for my headphones. I have Shure E3c 'phones, and one of the reasons I got them is that they are compatible with custom-molded inserts, as are others.

I should have my new inserts in a week or so, just in time for a second fitting and before a long plane ride. I love the E3c's and I'm really looking forward to an even better listening experience with these new inserts!

I dunno if anyone else is considering this or has already done it, but I'll let you know if I think it was worth the money.

so I got my custom inserts today and......they suck. Hard plastic and they don't seal worth a damn. I've already sent an email to the doctors office asking about a refund.

What a waste of time and money.....

nano is cool because it's so tiny and slim (and it comes in black!), but i'm not about to switch out my 40gig foto ipod for one.

I have a 8GB Nano and use Anapod with it instead of iTunes. Has anyone been able to make the album artwork display using Anapod?

Does your album art show up? Are you using iTunes?

I use iTunes, I've never seen the album art. I did load a lot of burned cds to my iTunes collection, so that might be why...

Thanks for the info SilverVw3! They claim that it is supposed to show the album art and I saw pics on Google images of it but I have never seen it on mine either. I am betting that you have to d/l the music from iTunes to make the album art show up.

Thinking about it now, I have seen the album art on the Nano's in the Apple store.

You have to enable the feature within iTunes. Somewhere within the iPod preferences is a check box that tells iTunes to transfer the album covers along with the music.

Also, are you using version 7 of iTunes. It now does a better job of adding the albums covers to your existing music library as well as the newly ripped CDs.

I haven't updated my iTunes to version 7.0 yet, did you have any problems when you did?

I have had no problems except for the fact that the album cover finder is not perfect. It occasionally adds the wrong album art. I think it is most likely due to a slightly incorrect CD title that had been entered into the CDDB.

To be on the safe side, due a library export in your current version of iTunes. This will create a file called iTunes Library.xml or something similar to that. This file contains a list of your music library contents, playlists, playcounts, etc.

I don't use iTunes, I use Anapod. I have enabled it on Anapod (per their instructions) and still no album art shows up.
