Default Curious George and the VW

Just went to see Curious George with my son, and noticed in the movie that The Man in the Yellow Hat borrows his friend's truck, which turns out to have a VW logo very prominently displayed front and back. The coolest part is that it looks like a Touraeg pickup!

I remember about 7-8 years ago reading an article in one of the car mags about a VW pickup concept that had 4WD and a V10 TDi. It looked like the Toureg looks now with a box on it. I wondered what ever happened to that project. Maybe VW let the studio use it the movie just to see if it would get noticed.

According to the story, the car in the movie is based on the Touareg concept vehicle.

I saw the Pink Panther movie this weekend and it had a black NB, a light blue old Beetle, and a black 90's Jetta in it. Pretty impressive showing by VW in about a 30 second clip.

Was Pink Panther worth seeing? I mean other than the VW related scene?

The makers of that movie should be shot, stabbed, poisoned, and made to watch their parents in an adult movie. An embarassment to Peter Sellers' name.

How was Curious George? I think it looks so cute, I might take my niece to go see it.

I have no interest in the Pink Panther movie.

Have you seen it?
I want to...only because I love Steve Martin. He's so freakin silly!

I'm transporting my argument for Pink Panther to Seinfeld.

I noticed the prominent VW symbol in the movie as well..

that and DOLE were the only two logos in the whole movie.

Curious George was great to watch with my 4.5 year old and 2.5 year old sons.. wouldn't trade those couple of hours for a Million Dollars.
