Default Ikea is our friend

Last weekend we made the 4-hour trip to Ikea in Covina, CA to buy stuff for the house.

How much stuff can you pack in a Grand Caravan??

In our case, not enough. We must go back again this Saturday to get more!! But this time, we must pack our things in one of the beetles

 As a man i can with no shame say that I LOVE IKEA!! I got confused on my first trip there to actually buy stuff. I didn't realize that one part was a showroom and the other was where you buy the stuff. Kinda threw me for a minute. I have tons of junk from there. My bedroom lamps, all my dishes and cookware, hand towels, oven mitts, dish towels. Yay! I'm a kitchen nerd so it's basically a candy store for me.

My bed is going to need replacing soon and i saw a nice wooden platform bed ina full size. Problem is getting it home. Can Beetle's carry on roofs well? Might have to borrow Mom's van for that. Ikea was the first place i visited when my ex took off with everything.

Single guys...this is also a great place to locate FINE young women. My GAWD what talent they had at the Ikea.

Oh, and definitely hit up the food court there. Best cheap lunch i've ever had.

I have an Ikea 5 minutes from me. Another one 1/2 hr down the road just opened a few months ago. It takes me all day to go thru that store.

You had alot of room left in that van. When you go to Ikea you must learn to CONDENSE! I also like the name of that road . How do you pronounce it?

Do we need to have a special IKEA GTG just for you Deb?

We currently have several pieces from Ikea. In the past, most of our furniture was IKEA, but we are slowing buying more HIGH quality stuff and selling the IKEA.

The furniture is great.....as long as you are VERY VERY careful when you move, they don't take abuse well at all. I have a bookcase that has survived 3 moves, but I was VERY careful with it.

Hey, that is the same Ikea I go to! It's about 20 miles from my apartment, which means it's about an hour away.

I've only been once, and it was interesting. I grabbed one of those nifty floor lamps with the cloth tube covering, and one of those bent-wood ikea chairs - I think they call it Poang?

All I know is that is one comfy chair! Yay for ikea.

Ikea is my store.
Just love it.
There's one about 5 minutes from my house. It's a new Megastore!!!
About half of my furniture is from there.
Just looooove to browse around there and sit on each couch.
And the rooms they make!!! They make it a sport to make an entire household on a few square meters.

When I was in Hong Kong, I've been to the Ikea as well.
Because the people there live mostly in small apartments, the furniture was also smallsized.

Smart people, the Swedish
