Unhappy Daisy Wreck

Today I was let off work at 12 instead of 1 becasue we have had ice rain and snow and we had no business much. So I headed home after I cleaned my front window so i could see. I was driving about 5 miles from McDonalds on the way home on US 23, and it wasn't snowing or anything anymore, but the roads are slick. Well I was driving and my right tire or left slid on ice, making my right tire go off the edge of the road and the road knocked me off of the road. I tried to get back on but it forced me in the wet slick grass, which we all kinda know that it's hard to stop a fast car in the grass. I wasn't speeding. My car went down the hill, through a barb wire fence (one fence line had to of went all the way over my car, it is still attached), and my car slid around to where it was facing the road.
[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]
I called my mom at her work and she called my dad at his work ( iddint know his number and his work was 1 1/2 hours or more away from the wreck). She waited on him to get home and they both came up in dads truck. Someone stopped and asked if I was alright and I am fine. I didn't hit my head, get scratched up, or anything. Daisy, is a mess on the other hand. The state patrolman did his thing, an EMT truck was there asked me if I was fine, policeman really didnt ask me anything much except if i was going south or north on the highway before the wreck. dumb butt. anyway, 2 firefighter trucks were there and they left when they realized there's no smoke. The guy who had previously stopped must have known the EMT people and firefighter people becasue he was back in his truck. he got in my car and drove it up to the highway. the creek where i almost landed in, wasnt deep, but just the small hill goes down into a creek low area where water is becasue it was raining. usually its not a creek, just grass. Well, they drove it back up the way it came, it was the only way out anyway, my old high school owns the land i think...police officer said not to worry about the fence or damage to it.

So after waiting on mom and dad to show up, everyone had left. The patrolman went to get gas then came back. I guess it's his duty to sit behind my bug until ym parents arrive (im 20 years old, i dont need a babysitter). im sure its their policy or something anyway. We called insurance company when i got home as to what to do. They started their thing and dads about to fax them a estimate at the local body shop, which they are really good workers and fair priced.

The total cost to fix all the scratches and damage on my car is $5,358.96.(That's more than I owe on my car)luckily, i have a 500$ deductible and insurance will pay the rest. The body shop told my dad not to worry about the 500 because the money they'll get from the insurance makes up for it...ok. nothing to me! I just have to last a long time wihtou the car. We can't have them start to fix it until insurance gets the police report from the police office up there, lol idk where its located. that's about 10-15 days wait.

All in all that's about all I know. It looks sad, my car. I am perfectly fine. my car didn't flip, just twisted around in a circle or two. All i could think of was "God let me live" and I said "God help me!" Sure enough he did cause I'm not hurt in anyway. My car is not totalled.

I will try my best to attach the pictures here in the forum, its hard for me to figure out.

Wow... at least you are okay. Hope the car will be soon, as well.
And good thing about the insurance. For once they actually help.

I'm glad you're okay & no scratches.

Sorry about the bad luck crazi. And hey, sounds like there wasn't too much mechanical damage.

Rough day... Sorry, I feel for ya.

Rough week.

Well on one side it sucks that your day was crap and your baby got hurt, but on the other hand hopefully when she comes back she will be sporting an all new paint job after that wire was nice enough to go up and over the top.

yeah, thank God for insurance! Yeah, the left headlight was off center, aimed wrong. so when my car gets fixed it will be aimed right. i can still drive it until it goes to the shop, which is 10-15 days from now. im almost afraid of driving it, especially with the weather, afraid something else will happen. if you've followed all my adventures with daisy yo uknow there were problems when i started..i.e. under fender loose, sunroof broken, etc...used cars...blah.

Wow , sorry to hear about your baby getting hurt. Glad your ok. Next time they offer to send you home early I'd say no.
Maybe you can get some mods out of this. Clear corners? Make sure you post pics when she's fixed.
