Seafood of any kind. Raw or cooked. I gag when I walk past the seafood counter in the grocery store if I don't hold my breath. I try to avoid walking past it, but sometimes I have to.

The smell of one of my new employees at work really bothers me. I can't tell if it's just old food stuck in a fat roll or she just naturally smells like 6 month old fish.

I worked in an oral surgery clinic nothing really bothered me. blood, burning tissue, even bad breath. But if someone puked, boy could that send me over the edge. Come close a few times, but I was able to hold my lunch. But it wasn't easy.

Cool

Newborn crying at 3:30 a.m. Hoping it's just feeding time or something, then, while lifting the little one up prior to the cursory diaper check, BAM! the unmistakable smell of a smoldering diaper. ARRRRRRGHH!!!

Dog poop. Not regular dog poop, but dog poop that you've stepped in and is in the creases of your tennis shoe and spreads around everywhere you step....That and old lady perfume... ...Pretty much the same thing now that I think of it...

Here we have skunk road kill mixed with chicken house with just a hint of cow pasture, not everywhere but out in the country you come to expect it.

Garbage trucks. My friend once rode behind one in her vert with the top down while I was in there for about 15 miles on the hwy. I kept asking her to go around or back off and she wouldnt. I think she like the smell and the debris floating into her car

That must be one of those smells that hits people different ways. I love the smell of fresh Parmesano Reggiano cheese. You can tell if it's any good by the way it smells. It should be a deep semi-fungal aroma with just a hint of acidity to it. Besides, the good stuff doesn't come cheap. Most times i can't afford a good block of it so i buy the ends for a couple of bucks, but they are all the same to my rotary grater. Just toss out the outer rind. If your parmesan has no rind, it's not real parmesan. Don't buy it. And that stuff in the green can? Better skip that too. Also, if you can shave off the outer rind you can melt/dissolve the inner rind in hot liquids like tomato sauce, etc.

BUT back to smells...
Skunk smell. A faint hint of it and i don't mind it, but i know why. Once leaving a girlfriend's house at 3am (naughty boy!) i was riding my bike (didn't own a car of my own until about 7 years ago) home. I was passing some garbage cans when out of nowhere this HUGE white fluffy tail was aimed right at me. I rode directly into the spray. I'm sure you've all smelled the aftermath smell of a skunk and even a few unlucky souls may have had their pets sprayed. Let me just tell you that there is nothing in the WORLD that smells quite like fresh skunk juice. It is the most messed up repugnant odor imaginable. Dare i say it's worse than the smell of a grease trap AND vomit combined.

Cool

I used to drive a bakery truck for many years. At mid-afternoon in August the truck interior would hit about 140 degrees (it's all steel with large glass windows, no a/c) so you've gotta drive with the doors wide open. Well, you can't imagine the rancid stench when I got caught following a meat rendering truck driving down a two-lane country road with no turnouts. Those trucks carry meat trimmings from your local grocery stores. It's unbreatheable...
