Got my first wave today :)

When I was taking my boys to school today I got my first wave from a lady in a red nb! Then later a guy in a Jetta waved to me. Do Jettas usually wave to nb's?

I flash the "peace" sign to many of the NB owners I see and get some of the same response back. The Jetta owner you encountered is just envious and wished he had a NBC himself. Just pity the poor soul and wave back. It's all you can do...

it's a nice feeling, isn't it? i am usually the wave-ER, but once or twice someone else waved first. gave me goosebumps!

as for a jetta waving to a NB, never had that experience, but how cool! shoot, i can't even get NB drivers to wave at me, i wouldn't even TRY with other VW owners.

I have waved a couple of times to other nb's but no response and then I am bummed, so I was completely surprised when this older lady waved first So from now on, I am going to wave at every nb I see and not let it bother me if they don't wave back!!!

I wave to all Bugs (young and old) and most other VW's. I have only gotten one wave back. But I'm still young.

I wave every now and then, mostly get waved back from air cooled bugs (and not that many around these parts)

This morning I had an older guy in an air cooled bug pull up next to me at a light and tell my my car was pretty nice lookin'. I said, yours too! It's a vee dub thing......

My first NB wave was GREAT! Although I was admiring their mods and almost crashed into the guy in front of me. Oops I have also gotten the headlight flashes from a snap orange and was so excited to have gotten that, that I forgot to do something in return. Atleast I was smiling

I am a waver but get sad when I wave and instead get dirty looks in return. What's up with that?!

I wave to all beetles new and old. I get more back from the old ones.

I also have a 71 vert. I get ALOT more waves when driving that.

Just kidding! I have waved at a few NB's and they didn't wave back....I just damned them and moved along my merry way. LOL

you know what... i've had pookie over 2 years now and i can only think of one time i've been waved at. been laughed at a couple times (by non nb's of course). wanted to wave a few times but felt too weird about it. almost been run over by another black beetle- license plate "POXIE" running a stop sign. (creeeepy, huh.)

okay, i'm off to class, maybe i'll wave at the next bug i see and creep someone out.

I peace-sign every VW that I encounter, but only if they're looking. (I make the New Beetles look... ) Getting a Jetta, Passat, or GTI driver to wave is a miricle.

We got a thumbs-up from a 25th Anniversary GTI a few years ago. Amazing, huh?

I also wave at every other 'vert, Ford, MINI, Audi, Corvette. But only when I'm in the 'vert.....

But, don't give up. It really does make someones day a little happier, I think. Think of how you feel. They feel it too!

I wave to most people. Its fun, and I park by the other vw's at work. It seems we all park in the same area.

When I first got my Beetle in 2000, I would get lots of wave's in Reno and San Francisco, best was the 2nd year I had my beetle went to San Francisco with my wife and this group of girls in their 20's all ran up to my car when I was at a stop light and were like we love your car and then the second best was in 2004 when a touring group of Japanese girls were near my work and I happend to look out the window and these 4 girls were taking their pictures with my car LOL! I went outside and asked them if they would like to have their pics taken inside and they jumped on that... it was fun I know everyone thinks the NB is a chicks car, but If I hadn't been a married man, I'm pretty sure I could have picked up some chicks back then with my car well those are my best ones I got.

I Usually give the peace sign also. Though it sucks when you get nothing back, think of the times when you didnt notice a NB (i know...impossible right?) because you were busy with something else, mad, or concentrating on driving. They probably wonder why you didnt wave back either. I try my best to wave to all NBs...i have gotten about three or four waves, and two of them were on my drive home from Houston to Vancouver...so i guess two waves in 2700 miles isnt bad!

I am about to give up on waving at anyone. I must have waved at a dozen nbs the last few days and no wave backs There was an ob vert right next to me at a stop light and I waved at her and she just looked at me like I was crazy! But I did get a honk and wave from a junky old pick up!

Some guy on the side of the road waved at me yesterday I like to think it was because of my happy Beetle.
