I'm REALLY glad I got a 5.45% ARM, looking at the quotes in the research.. I love my credit union so much more now.

I can't say I'm surprised by the 'tide'. What I find mind-boggling is the high percentage of people who are making payments but not building any equity in their homes. That has to be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of.

I hate to sound like grandpa, but in the old days, you saved money, made a downpayment on your house, and then worked to pay off the mortgage.

I think it's just another symptom of people who want what they want and pay absolutely no attention to the fact that they can't afford it yet.
