What famous people have you met?

After meeting Freestyle Motocross Superstar "Cowboy" Kenny Bartram last night, I began wondering about famous people you may have met.


Other than Cowboy Kenny, I have only met Warren Miller. Very nice guy, funny writer and great storyteller too.

only famous person i've ever met was Gallagher, the comedian.
we went to one of his shows and my little brother caught a ball that he threw into the audience. we waited around afterwards to see if he'd autograph it for him. he was mighty nice.

I've met a lot more . . . . My hubby and I work a movie convention that comes to Las Vegas every year and the past 5 years I've been a star handler (takes them to each interview, paper and video)

As for Mr.Gahan of Depeche Mode, I think I cried for about a month. Here's the story . . .

We went and saw DM at the Hard Rock 4 years ago. The show was AMAZING. I got a call from a friend the next day and was told that the Hard Rock released Poker Chips with DM on them. We were just lounging around the house and hopped into the car. Well I looked like crap in ratty jean shorts and flip flops with my hair in a ponytail and we were headed into the casino, when we passed the Starbucks and I glanced over and there he was sitting there. Dave Gahan himself. I think I actually stopped breathing. Well my hubby RAN to the nearest gift shop purchased a $25.00 disposable camera and guess what. . . yes you guessed it. I went up to him babbled like an idiot, took a picture with him and when we went to get the photo developed the shot was too dark and all you saw were our noses.

Here is a picture of him during the show the night before I got to meet him . . .



Yes, I took this picture. Yes, this show was GA (general admission) and we waited all day on the sidewalk in the Las Vegas heat (summer concert) to be the first right up at the stage.

So, I was depressed for about a month. I'm good now though. Especially since they will be back in town Sunday the 30th and we are going.
