it depends. if the job is something you'd really dress up for, like office or all the workers dress fancy, then wear a black skirt or black pants , not jeans and a decent like button or zipp shirt/ tshirt.
if its like family dollar or walmart, i'd just wear jeans and tshirt or something. never show too much skin some places look to see if there's cleavage like if u'd be weraing that kinda clothes all the time. just something comfortable but not bootylicious? kathy hope this helps |

What color are they?
If you wear gray pants make sure you wear black shoes. If you wear brown wear brown shoes unless you are wearing black and brown then its ok to wear black shoes. But just brown...black is a no no. What kind of help do you need with shoes? Style or just color? Give us an idea of what kind of outfit you would wear. But if youre wearing plain slacks with a dressy shirt then I would go with a plain shoe for an interview. Nothing with too much of a heel. Loafers are pretty fail safe when it comes to interviewing garb. I hope that helped some ![]()

Depending on where you're going, a nice pair of chinos may work, along with a 3/4 sleeve button-down shirt. Shoes with that... Something fairly stylish, but nothing real funky. Maybe like a pair of low-to-medium heeled pointy-toe boot... The shoes that Amy posted right above here are pretty much perfect, too!!
A dressier place may require a more formal look, in which case adding a fitted jacket or blazer over darker pants or a knee-length skirt may be appropriate. But like Kathy said - don't show too much skin - better to err on the conservative end of things, especially when making a first impression. |

Just remember for an interview, you cant over dress... you can only under dress!!!
So dress for success!!! PS I would avoid clothing like the one that Helga is wearing in my avitar... leave that for nites on the town LOL

ha ha ha! thanks you guys... i mean, gals.
anybody got any more pics of shoes? as far as type of place, i need to be able to pay for healthcare and childcare and still come out on top so i won't even consider a meneal hourly job- better off just having the one income from hubby than do that. i do have some khaki colored dress pants that are super-awesome and a few 3/4 sleeve shirt thingies (blouses? is that what those are called?) nathan paid me $4 one time to... oh nevermind, this is irrelevant and conterproductive. point is: i need a legitimate job that doesn't require fake boobies or undressing outside of my own home. dam! it would be so much easier if john was the one interviewing. |

I agree...you can NEVER overdress for an interview. If it's at an office I would def wear a suit, or at least dark pants and a collared shirt. It's been shown that people that wear pastels get more job offers than those that don't. Worked for me!! Good luck!
If you don't have a suit or can't buy one, maybe a friend that is the same size can loan one to you?? |

I have always worn a suit to all of my interviews.

You're on the right track, at least...if you want a 'good' job, you certainly need to dress the part for the interview.
I would definitely check on a jacket/blazer, you'd be surprised how much a basic blazer can dress up your clothes. I've seen your pictures-- you're beautiful. Just aim for a classy look that's conservative without being frumpy. Not that you could ever look frumpy My daughters are 18 & 15 and we've found some nice jacket/pant and jacket/skirt outfits for them in the juniors department at JCPenney's that are classy looking without being boring or expensive. Add one of your 3/4 sleeve length shirts that you already have and you'll look great. Good luck! Let us know how it goes. ![]() |

Sorry! I didn't think you would have time to order shoes online. I thought for some reason your interview was in a couple of days. |

Don't laugh, but you can find some really great looking clothes and shoes at Salvation Army and Goodwill Stores! My daughter shops at our Goodwill store and really surprises me with what she comes home with. A lot of what is there is brand new, someone else just didn't like it.
![]() Oh, never wear navy shoes with black pants....I do this and my daughter still rolls her eyes!! ![]()
