Cool Speaking of hooked on Lost---who was into Twin Peaks?

Such a guilty pleasure.

I was so totally hooked on that show.

To this day---the dancing little man thing, kills me.

Never got into the TV show.
There was a dirty movie with the same name, though, that... well... er... nevermind. I never got into the TV show.

wow, yeah, twin peaks. it's weird, my best friend and i, and our MOMS used to all watch that show together. i think it was on from 1990 until 1991, but it seems like it was longer. i would have been about 15-16 when i watched it. i LOVED that show. however, i remember seeing a few episodes of it years later and thought it seemed really...lame?

here's a good article on some of the history:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_Peaks

good stuff though. i've seen some of david lynch's movies and saw "fire walk with me". definitely interesting. i barely remember anything about the show now though.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Oh hell yeah, I was SOOOO into that show. I still love it when they occasionally rerun it on Bravo or something.

I have a magnet on my fridge that says "I'm a real Twin Peaks Fan", I have Laura Palmer's Diary, I have the soundtrack, and I even had (but can't seem to locate now) an audio tape that was ALL of Dale's dictations to Diane. I really hope it's still around somewhere, because that was by far the neatest thing.

*sigh* I miss it.

That time range sounds about right.

My son was born and I remember stressing about him getting to bed on time so I'd be able to watch it.

I was way hooked on it too but I got really frustrated when they drug it out with what didn't seem like a finished story line. This seems to happen to a lot of shows similar to Twin Peaks that I get sucked into.

Miracles and Touching Evil are 2 cancelled shows that fizzled out before they got to where they needed to go. Most recently, I have been watching Carnivale but I worry that it is headed nowhere also.

I LOVED that show. I didn't get into it during the first run, but caught it on repeats. I now have the DVD set.

It's a shame it only lasted one season.

Man, I still remember getting goosebumps everytime they'd show Killer Bob lurking somehwere!

Twin Peaks remains one of the best TV shows ever along with The Prisoner and some other very "intellectual" ones. Twin Peaks could mix together all genres including comedy, drama, horror and even sci-fi (remember the episode about the White Lodge with Major Briggs).

I have the Twin Peaks DVDs and most Lynch movies as well. As usual with all Lynch productions (as he directs musically -always with an headphone on one ear), the music is extremely important and effective to emphasize the different moods and messages.

I need to brush my teeth.

Never saw the movie.

OMFG! The log lady! The log lady! The log lady ruled! I watched it every Thursday night when it was on and to this day still listen to the Angelo Badalamenti soundtrack!

We still quote things from the show too....."the black dog runs at night".

And one of my favorite actresses to this day is still Madchen Amick who played the broke down, beat up Shelley Johnson. I her! SMACK said Leo! lol

We used to watch it with the whole family.
I don't remember when it was aired though as I'm not sure if I completely understood the plot of it due to my age...
