Default interesting twist on the VW Bus

i know the japanese will pay up the butt for completely restored volkswagen busses... but i guess when they can't get em in, there's always the alternative.

They look pretty cool, but I'd be scared of those. They look top-heavy, and prone to rollovers!

Damn... If VW sold them here (or something similar) I would buy one to haul the kids and dog around in!

They are not VW's They are a mini-van with VW Bus body kits.

Apparently you can get body kits to go on this chassis for many different types of vehicles.

there are many examples here: http://www.geocities.jp/kgdgk927/minbus.html

(o\_vw_/o) Beetles rule!

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I see trademark/copyright infringement all over the place here with that big VW logo on the front. If these are just body kits, how the heck is the front end modified to allow somebody's knees to be the first line of defense behind the sheetmetal? Kewl looking concept though! *2 thumbs up*

I'd rock one. This is the best site IMO: http://park12.wakwak.com/~autocompan...ner/owner.html

i'm not sure if i'd rock one or not...

they look like problematic cheap pieces of crap.

but the idea behind it is fairly interesting.

which companys mini van do you have to start with before adding this kit? it kinda looks like those ugly toyota vans that were around a few years ago.

I beleive they are a Mitsubishi model that is not sold here. I have seen them used in the Bahamas, when I have gone on vacation.

Here's the deal: If a site like this (and you know VW checks out this site), is all excited about these knock offs, how come they don't get the point, and start putting out the real deal again??

I think they look great, these vans pictured here, and how hard would it be for VW to make them?

Just saying...
