Default What did you use to drive?

I made a big change in vehicles when I got Natasha and I am sure others here did too. So I thought it would be cool to see what you use to drive.

Here is my old ride. I loved felix and put a ton of effort and work into him. But 14-16 MPG and 90 miles a day just made impractical with today's fuel prices. Wish I could have afforded to keep him.

I have a 1998 Ford Contour, that my hubby will drive until he trades it in for a work truck. Okay car, but nothing compared to Ginger.

This is my last car. A 95 monte carlo ls. I really dont have any complaints with this car. When I got it it only had about 60,000 miles on it and that was in 2000...so that wasnt too bad. It was in perfect condition and I loved it becuase it was "new to me" but also it was just a car. My love for it wore off about a month after I got it. I constantly had problems with the drivers side window going off the track. My sister had the same car and she had the same problem. Other than that it was a good, reliable car. And not too bad looking either.
Also, I didnt trade it in. Its still in the family and still going strong. My brothers wife drives it now.

I've owned three cars. I drove a 1997 (I always think it was a 1996, but I dont think the 5 series was made that year, It was purchased in fall of 1996) 5 series BMW until volkswagen released the 1998 Jetta GLX VR6, I had to wait until Spring of 1998 to get it, but that Jetta was my Vehicular Soulmate! Now I have the New Beetle

OK...first, you have to promise not to too loudly. The first 2 were mine, the rest were co-owned with the beauteous RaceKitty, and they are in order that I/we acquired them.
  1. 1978 Buick Century - Yes, the one with the sloping rear window.
  2. 1984 Chevy Camaro V-6 A/T - could have been a VW Scirocco if I'd know how to drive a manual transmission at the time.
  3. 1982 Old Firenza 4sp - Rk got it cheap and it was crap.
  4. 1990 Chevy Lumina Euro Coupe - nice car, when it would start.
  5. 1982 Dodge Omni 024 4sp - except for the engine, I really liked this car.
  6. 1985 Honda Civic S 5sp hatchback - of all the cars we no longer own, I probably miss this one the most
  7. 1995 Dodge Neon Sport Coupe - great car for 70k miles, then
  8. 1990 Nissan 240SX Coupe - AWFUL seats, but it handled well
  9. 1993 Chrysler Concorde - bought it unchecked from a 'friend'
  10. 2003 APHID - and we all know how this one turned out.
  11. 1997 Nissan S/E Pickup Truck - I was just getting used to it and liking it when it was wrecked Dec 2004. If we had the $, I'd really like to have a truck as a third vehicle.
  12. 1999.5 Jetta VR6 5sp - It's a blast to drive, but the interior room has been a bit disappointing.
I know including Aphid & the Jetta isn't what the thread asked, but I was on a roll & didn't wanna leave them out of the time line.

In highschool when i first got my license I drove my mom's '87 Dodge Charger (nope, wasn't a Shelby one) and finally got my own car which i drove for a my first couple years into college, which was an '83 Civic S. I wanted an '83 GTI.

Then I received inheritance money and bought an '86 325.

Which a year after i bought it this happend:

I still can't believe I fixed it back up...but I loved that car.

Then traded the bmw for $500 as a downpayment on:

Then traded the Jetta in on the Passat - which will soon be traded in (or hopefully kept) when I get my NBC.
