Vortex is okay so long as you don't get caught up in the douchebaggery that can take place there. It's a bit more difficult a forum to operate, not as user friendly. If you want to buy or sell something, it's a good place to check out. Also good for finding local VW groups.

There's a German NB forum. Forget the address though.

If you have any local or regional VW clubs in your area, I'd sign up with thier forums.
They always have good info on where to go to service thier cars, get parts, and have local meetings. It all depends on how immature they are if they are rude or not.

VWVortex (GTI heavy see above), VWFIXX (Kind of a Vortex lite! People are a little nicer), LIVC.org (Long Island VW Club - Air Cooled emphasis!)

newbeetle.org.uk

familiar name eh?

the beetle is worldwide
there should be a forum in every country right?

the beetle is the one thing all nations can agree on

Quite a few smart looking beetle's across the pond, I dare say.

thesamba.com should come with a warning!
Ahhh!
Look at this classified -Type III fire truck
That's about an hour away from me.
Not only that there are two beetle's in my county
a 69 and a 74 in great shape.

One project at a time I keep telling myself.
Must not give in to the samba.
