Girls who have been used by someone
This forum is for girls who've been used by guys at some point in their life. Share your story so we may all learn from each others mistakes.
Today I found out that a guy i was into and i really trusted, was leading me on for my money. I let him borrow 500.00 and now i'm broke forever because i dont think he'll pay me back. he swore and promised he would and there's no way i can force him to pay me back. his x-girlfriend sent me a messsages saying that he was leading me on just to get money from me, which i know he has to use it for a fine but maybe he'll pay me back. i just dont think it will happen. what should i do? i cant get ahold of him. |

I would say your SOL..
I would of drawn up a promisary note, and had it noterized.... Sounds like way to much drama. Close this chapter in your life, forgive him, and have peace from this mistake.... and move on girl. You totally dont need it... ...not all guys are evil... |

 Ya live and learn girl.....It goes both ways,Chalk it up as a learning expierience and move on. You'll find your soulmate one day. I found one 30 years ago,And we are still lovin it and married for 29 years. The money can be replaced......Your broken heart can be mended......There are good and bad in both of the sexes. Be patient. |

i think everyone has been used at some point or other in their lives... ahhh, a painful lesson for you. sorry to hear that girlie.
me: once had a bf who i could not get to leave my apartment. he used me and was on drugs and occasionally beat me up- etc... long painful story. hubby: he had an ex who he re-enlisted in the army to be with or something i guess. well they broke up and lucky him got to go fight in kuwait and iraq. $500 does burn but it could have been worse and now you have no other direction to go but back up again and begin the healing process and get on with your life |

If you have proof of the payment to him, such as writing a check to him, ttake him to small claims court! Otherwise its an expensive lesson learned. Sorry about your misfortune! Not all guys are jerks....but this one is for sure!

You don't NEED it to live, once upon a time you could grow your own food... before McDonalds, grocery stores, etc. Whats that go to do with the price of red beans in china? Well, everything. I've made your mistake before, only I was blessed enough to not really "need" that money then, so it wasn't a big deal. I had an ex-boyfriend whom I pawned/sold:
Apple iBook (12"/white, brand new.. hadn't had it 10 months) 40GB external Hard disk (at this time this was a $400 piece of hardware) External CD-RW drive Digital Camera tabloid-sized printer Pen Tablet ....to afford cigarettes and dig him out of being evicted; to no avail. We were still evicted, I was without my digital art supplies for school... and yet I STILL moved to Portland, Oregon with this fool. Moral of my story: feeling sorry, feeling love, just feeling for someone period can make you do regretable things. It is OK to say no sometimes. As to resolution to your monitary problem, small claims court and/or Judge Judy (big fan of her myself).

On the subject of lending money:
Not sure where the quote comes from, or even if it's 100% correct, but it goes something like this : If you loan a friend $10.00 and then expect repayment, you can expect to lose either $10.00 or the friend. In the grand scheme of things, $500.00 will turn out to be not all that much. It still stinks in the short term, tho. Sorry to hear you got duped
