I'd go threesees with you guys.

If I was swimming in cash, i'd so buy it. Getting the wife-unit to move 1. to the PNW and 2. to move into a defunct missle base would be next to impossible. I'd so rock the missle base though. That would be the Ultimate Roswellesque GTG hangout.

Blugg thanks for posting this... too cool

COOL! Anyone want to chip in towards the $2.3 million for the silo in NY Adirondack State Park. 2,000 SF finished above ground, and 2,300 sf finished below ground with another 20,000 sf unfinished in the silo.... it even has it's own runway!

For some reason i want to convert the Silo into a giant garage.

We could all pitch in, buy it, and start the next Dharma Initiative .

I could actually see someone like Richard Branson buying this and setting up his space travel company there.

Actually I don't think this would work for a modern space tourism company. Most of those are looking at a more traditional takeoff method, attached to winged aircraft.

But the Dharma Initiative sounds like a great idea! How perfect would it be to turn a weapon of war into a peaceful community!?!

That is until the others come along.

True. Perfection is always ruined when those others come along.

I see we have a LOST fan here.

Me being a Trekkie, always thought it would be a great attraction to have an Star Trek amusement park- no not that thing in Vegas; a real amusement park with life-sized Star ships and sets of the different alien planets. One of these defunct missle bases would be the perfect foundation for such an attraction.
