Default Everyone hates the weather man???????

Ok there have been great threads about changing sheets and taking showers, I love those kind of threads, so in honor of that I would like to pose another question, kind of Is is just me or is anyone else tired of the weather man taking all of your favortie shows away? In Louisville, if there is a storm coming, they take hours and hours talking about it even if it is across the river in Indiana! Just a few nights ago, there was a threat of heavy rain, that was supposed to hit across the river, as soon as the local news, weather and sports was done, the weaterman interupted regular viewing to tell us about the storm that might come! It was on a Thursday night,(I remember because that is my favorte tv night) they stayed on until after 11:00 PM! they kept going over the same stuff over and over and over....... This was on every local channel. I realize that it would be ok if we were in danger of something critical, like a funnel cloud was spotted or something serious, but it looked like they were just looking for things to talk about. Anyone else ever get really fumed? Or is it just me????????

The same thing happened here but with the snow. It was pretty wicked out so they kept intrupting saying how bad it was. Well duh! Just look out the window.

They weren't interupting? They were on INSTEAD of the shows? That REALLY sucks.

Dun Dun Dun Duuuuun...... STORM WATCH 2008!!

You've gotta love those dramatic openings to the breaking storm news. Cut all the Hollywood dramatic opening. While you're glossing your weather Dept. with your Spielberg-esque opening, a Tornado is bearing down on my neighborhood....Oops, too late.
Well that's how they do here Jacksonville.

And while i'm at it, it's awlful irritating to me to hear field reporters glossing their station with their Ron Burgundy monikers, as they finish their stories....

"With coverage you can count on, I'm Storime Weathers reporting"

OR...

"Live from the accident, this is Bill Rhodes, SunState News, your news leader".

Enough already I'm not bitter, really

Anyhoo, back to weather.

Amazing thing about the weatherperson. They're the only ones who can screw up their job constantly and still keep their job- Go figure
