Default Thinking of getting a beetle, but i need advice first

I love both of these small cars - they're so cute! I'm leaning towards the mini since I think it's a little cuter. I'm not as familiar with the beetle although I've heard that the si is more fun to drive. So, I'm curious, what do beetles lovers have to say about the comparison? Here's a link to what I'm deciding: http://vlane.com/comparison/2359

Even though they are both considered sub-compact there really is no comparison. The NB has it beat from a performance stand point; horsepower and handling.

The cute factor can only be weighed by the one looking.

Have you drove either of them yet?

not to mention judging by what I've seen, I can fit more in my vert's trunk then fits in back of the mini.
I'd defiantly go with the bug.

The mini is actually a stiffer ride ... so it has better handling. And now that it has the turbo ... it can kick its butt at acceleration too. Not to mention gas mileage. But, I would still pick the bug. I was thinking about getting a Mini back in 2003 but, I got my dream car instead.
