A comparison of the new VW Tiguan can be found in the newest edition of Motor Trend against the Subaru Forester and Mazda CX-7. In summary, it gets good reviews, except it is priced substantially above the competition, thus its third place ranking.

Thanks for posting this. I saw a Tiguan at the dealership and fell in love. Possibly looking at adding this to my VW family once I get Kiki paid off next year. Maybe by then - the price will drop a teensy bit too.

I test drove a Tiguan last month and loved it! Once the TDI comes out I will be looking into adding it to my VW family.

There are a few touches about the Tiguan I'm not crazy about. One of the major ones being an effing prop rod for the hood. Come on, Touareg and Phaeton have larger hoods and have struts, but this heavy thing has a rod? Lame.

Not bad overall, just late to market... as usual.

I loved driving it around town. I took it on the highway and the back roads. I really like how the interior is layed out. I just wish they were coming out with the orange one they had at the Detroit auto show a few years ago.
