Default What do you do when you can't drive your Beetle?

Having to rely on my husband to drive me everywhere is driving me insane.

Sitting in the passenger seat is driving me insane.

Sitting 50000 million miles away from the windshield is driving me insane.

I want my beetle back!

The Stealership is holding it hostage until I decide whether or not I want to fork over $1,400 to fix it, or risk paying to tow it away and take it somewhere else

Your insurance doesn't cover the tow? I'd say get a second opinion from an independent mechanic, preferably one you know does good work.

When I can't drive my Beetle...I rely on Mom and Dad to get me to work and back! (only happened once)

I drive my Tahoe. But I miss my bug the whole time. Being able to park in anywhere and zipping in and out of traffic has its advantages. Plus the better mileage is really missed.

Texas requires an inspection sticker and a registration sticker. I noticed my Tahoe was up on both of them on the way home 2 days ago. On the way home, I got hit by a big rock (thank goodness it was the Tahoe). So today I got to spend $177 for a new windshield, $75 for the registration and $14.50 for the inspection. Lucky me(not).

Tomorrow I'm back in Tater. It will be pure bliss.

I ride my horse - that's the only other thing that even comes close to the satisfaction I feel when I'm behind Esme's wheel, cruisin' with the top down!

The hubby had to take his Jetta in this AM, so I got to bring him home so he could pick up his Maliblew ... I mean Malibu... I'm sure he's going to be in a fine mood when he gets home.Today it was good to have the Blew but I'll be glad when he sells it and we're back to a 3 car/one motorcycle family...

My insurance doesn't cover breakdown towing, unfortunately.

I have AAA, but it only covers 7 miles of towing, lol. I already paid once for part of the towing there :/

It's not a huge expense in the grand scheme, but all the little things add up in the longrun.

... well, since Zoomer sprung a massive oil leak today... I will be borrowing my sisters car. Since she works on the way to where I work ... she is staying the night and I will drop her off, drive her car to where I work... then pick her up at 11p later that night. wow ... what a long day.

Me Too! "Plan A" is I tell the wife, whose office is a mile from the house, that the Ford Explorer is so bad on gas that she should drive it; shes cringes but understands that $80.00 a week in gas is what it will cost if I drive it.

Of course she refuses at times and then there is "Plan B"; my son drives the Ford Explorer and I get to drive his NB...
