Marble-sized hail and straight line winds. When it first started, it was pea-sized and I laid out over the hood of the benz since it doesn't have full coverage. I gave up when the bigger chunks of ice fell I THINK its fine...I haven't checked the Z4 yet. Its mostly aluminum so it might have some dings :fingers crossed it doesn't:

I've yet to find one with a manual transmission and those cloth seats are ridiculous. They need GLI seats in them. I've seen red, white, and blue. Not sure what other colors they came in.

OH NO! Fraking hail! I hope both of your cars are ok!

Last year it hailed and Zoomer was outside in it. Got 1/2" hail ... and I have recently found a few dents in the roof of Zoomer. It pisses me off.

They both seem to be OK but it certainly gave me a scare! We had softball-sized hail in '98 that destroyed EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE in town that was unprotected. New cars on dealer lots were destroyed and if you didn't have insurance, you were SOL.

I like to pretend that I'm NOT foul-mouthed and that it means SIMPLY out of luck. I think we all know better by now!

It was 82º yesterday and now its 44º. I'm starting to think that Mother Nature is punishing me for some of the nasty things I said about her. Brrrrr!!!!

Ugh. Anxiety. Stress. I hate it all. Can it be next Wednesday now?

I "defend" for my Masters degree next Tuesday afternoon (I'm not doing a thesis so its a project presentation but calling it a defense is easier than explaining a lot of the time). I just got my slides done this morning and sent off to my committee for feedback. Working on my 2nd draft of my paper. And I also have classes and homework to worry about. UGH! But I know its going to be all worth it. Its just super stressfull.

I commend you for completing your master's program! I've REALLY tossed around the idea of going back and getting my MBA, but for where I am right now, I think I'd rather masturbate with a cheese grater than to go back to college.

Knock 'em dead!

I went directly to grad school (more or less...graduated a semester early from undergrad so I took a prereq class at my grad school for the spring semester since I wasn't starting until the fall) after undergrad. I knew if I took time off, I would never go back. Plus, the job market sucked when I graduated, and I figured out another skill I wanted to learn, which I could do in the Masters program. So win-win

Awesome. Win-Win is ... winning? Haha. I had to.

I hope I am 'winning' soon. Applied for another job at my previous place of employment. :\ I hate waiting. I had to apply through the evil website. And, I never got a 'thank you for applying' email. So, a bit worried. I know the people that are hiring. Just ... not sure how much I should bug them. I don't want to become obnoxious. But, I don;t want to lose out on the opportunity.

As long as you left on good terms, what does it hurt to try? I can't remember the details of you leaving, but didn't they hire someone "under" you who eventually took your place? That's kinda crappy.

Not at all! I'm from the South and we speak a whole different dialect of the English language down here. I'm use to people looking at me weird and asking "WTF does that mean?"

Haha I hear ya on that. I grew up in MD so coming to NC took some learning. Lots of terms I never heard or interpreted the wrong way. My parents moved down here too and they in a rural area near the mountains...the dialect there can be interesting at times. 4 years living there they still have issues knowing what people say at times

I also make up my own sayings (they're called Shannonisms) and they're usually crude, but super, duper funny.

Oh I have to hear some of these "Shannonisms"

Some of my favorite Southern words:
Buggy (Shopping cart)
Toboggan (think a knit winter hat)
Corn Hole (beanbag toss...probably my favorite one...and most Southerners don't get why I laugh when they say "You wanna go corn holin'?" )

I did leave on good terms. When I was laid off they told me that I am 'eligible for rehire'. So ... I am trying. So far, I have applied for two jobs there. One of the jobs is EXACTLY what I used to do. And, for the gal that they hired that eventually replaced me. She is still there. I thought part time but, if they are hiring ... perhaps she is full time. She was originally hired on to help in the post production/After Effects work. But, she does that and what I used to do.

Yesterday I emailed the 'art director' (we are on good terms too)... and asked him about the position. He hasn't emailed me back yet. That was about 24 hours ago. Makes me worry. The other job I applied for there I emailed the guy in charge of that ... a week ago yesterday ... and he hasn't emailed me back AT ALL. Not even a thank you for your resume/portfolio. He and I talk about crap sometimes.. so, it is weird. My old boss ... we keep in touch all the time. Heck! I just saw him about 3 weeks ago. ... Not sure what is going on with the jobs. Since learning about the job postings I have REALLY started grinding my teeth. My colon is in a frakin hurricane... and all I can do is wait. :\ I am NOT good with having patience.

I woke up crabby today too ... so, that doesn't help. Then, I am driving 80 on the highway this morning (5 MPH over the limit) and a jerk with a jacked up pick up with those wheel spacers come up on my arse and is tailing gating (after cutting off the tailgater I had behind me already). So, I do the tap my breaks thing. They like that (sarcasm). Made him back off but ... he gave me a weeks worth of the bird. A few 15 minutes later he catches up to me (traffic was horrible)... and starts giving me the bird again. What a frak tard.

<rant>I then get to work and almost fall on my face while getting out of Zoomer because my heel of my high heel (I do not drive in them) catches my jeans. HAHAHA! Luckily I caught myself.</rant>
