Yes, you've read it right. Why do I care to go to her 60th birthday?! It's his inlaws not mine
Oh, it also takes from 11AM until at least 6PM blech...
I am going home afterwards (it's 2 hours away, just over the border in Germany) as I am meeting up with my man-friend.
I start to believe his visits are more of the booty-call kind than anything else
This means we need to talk obviously. I am not a floozy where he can just drop by and do his business.

For all we know, it is small, cute and fuzzy! LOL

I'm not sure if I am the BEST one to listen to in the relationship department but, yes ... looks like having a talk is best. :\ Sorry about that!

So tired today. Hubby was traveling Monday and yesterday. He was supposed to get in at 10 last night...ended up getting delayed multiple times and didn't get in until 12:30am. I passed out on the couch waiting for his flight to get in...waking up enough to drive was tough Went in to work an hour late but still sleepy. Caffeine isn't cuttin' it. Early bedtime tonight!

On a lighter note, I got a new hair cut yesterday!! Its been long with some layers for a few years. Got it shorter (just past my shoulders) with some short layers. Super cute and I finally feel like I look my age! I always have had a hard time finding a hair style that didn't make me look like I was 16. Since I work at a University for the time being, looking like I could be an employee and not a student is a plus. I've always done the layer thing, but never with layers this short. Nice to mix it up for a change. Hubby likes my hair longer, and has disliked hair cuts in the past, but he loves this

His name is 'Max' and some friends tried to give him to me earlier. I don't have the time to dedicate to a dog. They're a bit needy, but hee's definitely a cutie!

I met this guy Monday at the zoo. He said if you give him 15 minutes, he could save you 15% or more on car insurance. Want his number?

I laughed at my horoscope for the week:

Quote:
This could be a yummy weekend with the Moon moving into sensual Taurus late on Friday night. This lunar transit occurs in your 7th House of Relationships, opening the way to a deeper connection with your current partner or encouraging you to start something with someone new. Slow and steady is so much sexier than being emotionally needy or in a hurry, so take your time and see what develops.

It made me laugh because I feel like I am on the Autobahn driving a Bugatti Veyron at 100 miles per hour while everyone else is driving old Fiat 500s. I gotta learn how to drive 45.

This is so spot on for me today:

Even if today is a workday, you may be more interested in the social aspects of your life than performing your job. You might be tempted to take a long lunch, waste time in idle chatter with your coworkers or look for other ways to fulfill your need for interaction. Unfortunately, your boss or some other authority figure could step in and prevent you from escaping your duties. Be smart; finishing your task list early in the day will leave you time to play later on.

Thanks for that horoscope link. I don't usually read them, but they can be pretty accurate. After work today hubby and I are meeting with a mortgage guy to see if we can't get some better rates (already got some pretty killer ones, but why not try for better Plus, the first guy we talked to (who we really like, but is in a different part of the state [my parents have theirs through him]) said he'd match rates if we got better ones. And we have our home inspection tomorrow morning. So my mind is so elsewhere. Been trying to find excuses to leave my desk and procrastinate. Plus, the project I'm working on is frustrating the crap out of me! So far, no real interference from the bosses though...neither are in at the moment

Nice.
I find horoscopes to be spot on sometimes. But, sometimes they are so vague that it can be taken anyway. Mine was extra funny today.

<RANT>
Well, I think I have have my answer finally (well, not really but)... he accepted someone elses request to hang out tomorrow night. It's her birthday and she wants to go hang out with him. She's already in a relationship but ... makes me sad. FML. I did nothing wrong ... I don't deserve to be treated like this AGAIN. What is this now ... 5 times in the last three years? I just don't understand it still. What makes it even worse is that he doesn't have the cajones to let me know that he isn't interested. And he hasn't 'unfriended' me on Facebook. 0_o ... just do it already fool. MOFO.
</rant>

It rained again today.

Maybe she asked first?

My dad had the end of his finger amputated today & the surgery went well all things considering. Less than 5 minutes after he was anesthetized, a MAJOR storm blew in (from East to West...SUPER rare) and knocked out the power, so they had to perform his operation under the power of emergency generators. It flooded the parking lot and I saw water up to the top of the doors on a car, blew the awning off the building, and two planes were blown over at the airport across the street. I was chillaxed texting on my phone and some old woman in the waiting room FREAKED out trying to find a place to hide. I wanted to go knock her in the head...it probably would have done us both some good.

Give her a hug! That would calm her down. Oooooh.
How is your dad handling losing a finger?? :\ That gives me the shivers.

Naw. I asked first. I am 100% sure of that one.
