I learned something new at work today:
"We" means me.
"Us" means "you", meaning me.

So, when "we" need to move the CRM server to the SAN, that means *I* have to sit up half the night copying a huge virtual harddrive from one server to another ...

Aww! Poor Gina! If I kill you can I have your drugs? Sorry it happened but at least you didn't take a line drive to your face/head. Hope you feel better soon!

In other news, just as I was about to start the DIN, I got this notice that there was new software for the APPLE and it asked if I wanted to download it. I said sure; restart was required. No problem. And it did it’s thing. I went to open iTUNES and it would open, but stop responding. I performed a lot of tech troubleshooting, and nothing solved the problem, so Keith suggested I re-boot, and then the Apple locked up on the gray screen with the Apple logo and the wheel that turns, not turning. I tried to re-start; nothing. So I called tech support only to find they have stupid hours. SO I called HAWAII where the stores are still open at 2300 and was told by a Apple ‘genius’ that I should try holding down the command/option keys at the same time as the p/r keys, and then at the same time as that, turn the machine back on. Yeah, you try that with two hands. Ain’t happening. So I got Keith to help, and it did not work.
The ‘genius’ then started to sound like that annoying manager guy from OFFICE SPACE (you know, when he would say, ‘Yeah’).He told me I would have to contact the Apple tech support, which was when I pointed out they were closed, so he suggested getting on line to set up an appointment, which, if the Apple was my only computer (it’s not), that would have been a stupid suggestion.

I got online with my VISTA machine, and found I had forgotten what my Apple name is. Great. No way to even set up a appointment. Frustrated, and at my wit’s end at my less then two month old computer sitting there with a grey screen of death on it, I called my buddy, STEPHEN up in the Pacific North West. And just like that, we got the computer into safe mode, and then I was able to re-boot out of that, and voila, now everything works, the iTunes, everything. Now, how hard would it have been for that ‘genius’ to walk me to the safe mode (which is holding down the shift button while starting the Apple up, in case you need to know)? I don’t know. But thank God for STEPHEN. Another friend from the internet I have never met, helping me out.

Oh, and I met him on the single best site out there, the ORG.

Sweet! Good to hear that the org is good for tech support for more than just Beetles!

Anyone have a good source for power antenna masts for a 95 Miata?

I am nervous. Tomorrow ViVi gets spayed. It isnt a regular Vet ... it is a place called Planned Pethood. They do 'low cost' spays and neutering ... and all the stuff a vet would do. Am I making the wrong choice in taking her here?

She'll be fine. They wouldn't be allowed to perform the procedure unless they were licensed, right? Its a good thing, I say!

I wouldn't be worried unless when you get there it's actually an alley and all the guy has is a xacto knife, soldering iron and dental floss.
