well I'm dropping Michelle of for 2 hrs at daycare so I cna go have a job interview at Walmart and in oh say 95% sure I'll get the job. then while Michelle is still at day care I need to finish shopping for Brian and Michelle. Did anyone see the planetary conjunction last night of Venus and Jupiter? If you looked off to the right of the moon, there were two BRIGHTass stars in the sky, but they were actually planets. Very cool to watch on my drive home. I forgot to look it up last night.

December 1, 2008 - Venus and Jupiter - This conjunction of Venus and Jupiter won't be as close as the one in the morning hours that happened earlier in the year, but it will be much easier to see. November 30 also shows Venus and Jupiter at close range. The two planets will be two degrees apart and they don't set until three hours after sunset. As a bonus, a 15%-lit moon will lie three degrees away from Venus on the 1st. Venus will be shining at magnitude -4.14 and Jupiter will be -2.03, a spectacular grouping. All three will lie within the borders of Sagittarius.

I saw it! Awesome! I was also checking them out on Thanksgiving with a telescope. Venus was pretty damn bright then.

I keep forgetting that I have my dad's old 35mm Minolta with the big telephoto lens. I probably could have gotten a really good pic of it with that. But I still need to finish up the B&W film I have in it.
