i went for a walk and .... dang! it's cold outside. and my ipod died while i was out there (died as in ran out of power, not do the dirt dance died).

HypERthyroidism does not neccessarily mean not gaining weight (or losing it easy). It is possible sometimes, but it's not a given. My mom was diagnosed Hyperthyroid about a year ago and had trouble losing weight before they got her levels all straightened out with medication. (Her sister is actually Hypothyroid, though I don't think she actually takes anything, and my grandfather on my dad's side had some sort of thyroid thing, too.)

Last time i went to the endocrinologist (I make too much insulin, go me!) I tested borderline hypothyroid.. lower than what a lot of doctors thought should be normal and were trying to get changed, but higher than what was the actual normal at the time.. that was way too long ago, tho.. I really need to go back to the doctor. :-/ Well.. I really need to FIND a doctor. i've been living in charlotte for almost 2.5 years and haven't gotten any down here yet. dur.

Hypothyroidism runs in my family (yay) but until now, any doctor I have seen has said mine was fine. My bloodwork always came back fine. Maybe it was fine up until now. No way to really know, right? Except that I've had almost every symptom of hypothyroidism for what seems like forever. But I guess those are pretty common symptoms for other things, too. I guess we'll just have to see what the deal is after all the blood work and the sono.

My uncle lives in Charlotte. He was on the news when they 1st opened the light rail and he was on the news another time because of his work. I love Charlotte. It reminds me of Long Island, but nicer
