Congrats again Amy! That place looks adorable!

If you don't mind me asking, how old is it and whats the square footage?

Thanks Jess! I'm not sure of either. I want to say downstairs is probably about 800 sq ft. It's tiny I meant to ask that last night. And I think the house was built in the early 1900's. I know the owner said he grew up there and his parents grew up there and I'm guessing he's in his late fifties, early sixties.

Wow. Old houses can be really cool, or really a nightmare. I come from having the nightmare experience of a house that could have been awesome. It just wasnt' kept up well and not a lot of modern improvements were done. Yeah, it had electric, HVAC, and bathrooms, but there was no insulation at all and huge gaping spaces in between the single pane windows. Ugh. It cost a lot. But it was also a 2800 square foot house!

Anyone catch the 'unreleased' MJ tune "A Place With No Name"? eerily similar to America's "Horse With No Name" (it's all over youtube, the postings that are 3 minutes seem to be loops of the shorter clip)

The attic was turned into a loft with a cute little staircase in the livingroom that leads up to it and it has a big window in it too, with built in shelves in the wall. It'll make a nice spare bedroom or sitting area. It's definitely what a realtor would call cozy (small) but it's perfect! We're going to have to figure out what we're doing with everything we have in the livingroom right now and basically we'll be sticking to having parties in the summer in the big backyard as the inside isn't conducive to more than maybe 4 extra people coming to socialize. The yard is fenced in so now Rocky will have plently of room to play The kitchen is also kind of small and we'll only have enough room for our little drop leaf table for eating at, so no dinner parties But I am ecstatic. It's such a cute little old house but it's been taken good care of and it's in a historic district in a nice quiet little town. I cannot wait!!!!!
When I get home later I'll post the crappy cell phone pic I have of the front of the house, unless I can fwd it to someone and they can post it. I'll have to see who can do that for me.
How AWESOME!!! I am so happy for you. That must've been what you texted me this morning (still can't get pics on the stupid iPhone).

Congratulations. I hope you're much happier there than with the stupid neighbors you have now.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

Thanks Fooster! Yeah, I remembered you couldn't get pics after I sent it.

And I almost cried yesterday as I was walking through the house thinking about how nice and quiet it will be. And I wont have to worry about people staring at me while I'm outside (weird oldlady in the building across from me) and there wont be a woman screaming at her husband to bring other peoples' junk up to their apartment from the dumpster, and no more snotty little biotch and loud old lady!

How nice! I bet you are so excited to move.

800SF is plenty of space. And the quiet part will be worth it no matter what the size.

Reminds me of the theme song from the Drew Carey Show.

"Cleavland Rocks!" although in this case, it's 'Cleavage rocks!'

In other news it's below ninety right now! Hard to believe.

Nice looking house. Is that a room up on the second floor? It has one of those cool looking windows.

'Tis a room. It has a cute staircase leading up to it coming from the livingroom, too. It's a good size and painted bright white and the window makes it even brighter. I felt happy the minute I went up there. Weird. But I liked it It'll be a good reading room.

Finally was drivable enough last night to bring him home! Brakes work, but aren't perfect (could barely stop before though so they are much better!). Still need to sort out some electrical gremlins, adjust the shift linkage and a few minor issues. Put back the interior and then he'll be good to go! Darla is happy to have a VW friend again! By the way, the Jetta's name is Klaus
Nifty!

He had permission to 'sample it'. Their current manager is MJ's former manager and the original band is said to be "thrilled and honored" to have had a legend put his own spin on it.

I'm running away for the weekend. I'm tired, I'm cranky, and most importantly I need a nap!
