The only problem with that is, I think that way too. But sometimes, you don't assume just how stupid some people are. Its depressing at times.

Truer words were never spoken.

In other news, I'm still sick, but now I'm at work. Ugh.

In other other news, I feel like I should start a thread titled "In other news..." where the next poster responds to what the previous poster said with a one sentence response, then COMPLETELY changes the topic by saying "in other news..."

I woke up this morning with a zit on my right nostril and one on my right butt cheek. WTF? Am I going through puberty again?

Zits could be coming from many things. Change in diet, change in soaps, change in hormone levels, stress, booze, change in laundry detergent, soaps ...

If it makes you feel any better Farris, I got a cold and I'm still really stuffy and sleepy, but I'm in my graduate classes and I have a 2 hour help session to lead tonight! Being sick sucks...especially when you're an adult and have things like grad school or work to worry about. Boooo.

Sounds like a plan.

In other news ... Moving the fridge at work to be right outside my cube was probably not a good idea. At least I'm staying away from the sugar drinks... Someone better start stocking that thing with vodka!

Was saying that exact thing to someone on Twitter this AM-- I keep low expectations so I am always pleased.

For the longest time I was unhappy. People were constantly disappointing me. Then I figured out it was because I expected too much of them. No more

In other news...who wants to do the secret santa this year? I won't be in it as I will be running it with the help of James.
Who's in?! I started a thread 'n' everything!

See, I don't believe that you can always think that. I have SUPER high expectations. I expect the movie that I have been wanting to see will be off the charts, the car I drive never have problems, and the men I 'date' to be awesome. LOL ... I need to start thinking somewhere in between. If I go in thinking, "This is gonna suck", I purposely make it suck (if it isn't sucking). I sabotage on purpose.

I would be willing to do the secret santa thing ... however, it would have to have a low limit. Like $5/gift or what not. If it is one gift then a limit of $25 would be ok, IMO. :P

LOL Silly...you just need to have no expectations. Going into something saying it's gonna suck is still an expectation...not a good one, but an expectation nonetheless. If you go into things saying "whatever happens happens" then you're on the right track.
And the secret santa is a limit of $20. If people want to spend more than that it's on them and whatever it costs to ship the item isn't included.
