Unhappy

Tough to do when you're stuck at work.
1 more hour to go.
The countdown is on.

Not looking forward to going to work, (on the other hand, not looking forward to NOT going to work) a lot has changed at my job, lots of "unknowns". 35 years does not guarentee you a job anymore. I'll be 62 next May if I can hang on that long. Never thought the tugboat industry would be affected so much. I guess SeaSpan tugs in BC has 75% of their fleet tied up. Not good

One month at a time

I hear you about the 1 month at a time.
Do you own your business???
There have been many changes in my employment during the last couple of years and things are only now finally starting to settle down a bit for us.

Hopefully for everyone's sake things will start to turn around...soon and for the better.

On a happy note, day staff will be arriving shortly and I can go home to bed. Yippee! Then 1 more night of work and I am off till Thursday

Default Well I finally made it home from work...

Wow, looks like you have a very interesting job.
Although I have had office jobs, I can not handle sitting at a desk all day. I like to get out and do things. Get dirty!
Likely this is why I went to school to be a pilot. However, I work in a homeless shelter and its pretty much as far from flying a plane as I can get but unfortunately for me, it's not by choice so I just make the best of it but I guess that is what we all do.
Make sure you post more pictures when you can.

It's dark out here too.
The winds outside make it look a little eerie!
Looks like we are going to get that rain here I keep hearing about.

A little breezy here in Tacoma Harbor. Have been working most of the night and have one more ship at 5:30, then maybe I can go to bed.

I changed the pic 4 post up. Maybe in the next few days I can get more.

Awesome Picture.

I have been attempting to keep myself busy here at work all night.
At 7:45 am I have to go wake up some very cranky teenage boys here at the shelter. Mornings are my least favorite time around here.
But in the meanwhile I get to sit and do my best to stay awake.

Trying to stay awake is tough when you have nothing to stay busy.

Are we the only two awake on this forum? What does the rest of the world do?

They should feel cheated

I love working nights...most of the time anyways.
No boss looking over my shoulder every minute of the day.
No staring outside while others enjoy the sun and I am stuck in my tiny cubicle.
I have had plenty of M-F 9-5 jobs, and I would take what I do over any of them, any day.
The only downside to my job is can be difficult working with homeless youth and often can be sad. You want to help but at the end of the day, there is only so much that you can do.

Carefull what you wish for, It's almost morning and in the East many are just saying good morning to their bosses as I type.
