Headliner going in, I've done headliners in AC VW's before but never in a sliding ragtop, and it's also one of the new 1 piece style that is supposed to be easier to install, To me it's harder. And with the lack of any type of instructions doesnt help matters. I also see I will need to fabric a part that apparently I am missing. It's being a royal PITA. Pics to follow soon.....

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear you are having a bear of a time with the headliner. Good to hear that you are putting final touches on the car though! To me, that sounds like the end is near. Keep plugging away at it John!

After about 4 weeks or more on the headliner finally finished it up today, mind you I was only spending a few hours here and there to do it.Even accomplished installing the windows by myself, usually takes 2 people. Now onto the roof, yippee I figure this will be another pita to accomplish.

Spent the day polishing out my sunroof rail's, they're not perfect some pretty deep scars in them but they look better than they did. Got 1 installed and hopefully will have the other installed 2moro, and start installing new guides and rollers on the sunroof mechanism, then can finish up the roof and headliner for the roof. Before and after pics.

Who needs a machine shop? Found I was missing a clevis pin for the sunroof latching mechanism, decided to try and make one. I used a 6mm 2 inch long shouldered bolt, drill press, grinder dremel tool and file. Took me about 30 minutes..

Hopefully soon, I gave up on trying to estimate a completion date, everytime I've tried I get to start working overtime. It' almost like they know how close I am to being done, and they are doing everything they can to prevent me finishing.

Well, I finally finished the sunroof portion of the headliner today, not perfect. But good enough for me did my best and it allows me to retain my "professional amatuer" title

Interior coming together, put sunroof canvas on will need to address a few issues with that. Started to install interior components, got rear carpet behind rear seat installed, rear seat covers and made some panels to fit under the rear seat to hide the battery and such, slow progress but looking good, hopefully I'm on the last leg of this journey. And I also adjusted an ill fitted drivers door, body line was about 1/4" off, still not perfect but I can at least live with it now.
