I almost died a few times on the way home from work this morning, there are no words for how bad it was, and now my car is stuck halfway in my driveway probably forever and I know I have dents in my hatch from people pushing me out of places this morning... but I still love the snow woohoo

Those don't look like snow tires. Time to go to winters.

Luckily no dents in the hatch, but I am still stuck major because there is a dip in the driveway that I am stuck in... It would be ok if the snow wasn't above my bumper its the snowplowing effect that is screwing up my day lol...

Send some of that snow my way...

Yep, low cars make for terrible snow plows, been there... I had so much snow under my Dasher once the wheels were not touching the ground. Neither of my NB's have encountered any deep snow yet.

I'll take what we have over that anyday. We have 17 but clear as a bell. No snow or Ice, unless you count the broken water mains.

Lots of snow here. It's not the snow that scare me it's the ice and below zero temps. Daisy loves her new shoes! Now for the skidplate...

I think you should find a nice cheap 4x4 for the winter you might be able to find one on Craigslist. like a geo tracker or s 10 blazer . though its still fun driving a vw in the snow

The thing is, the western slope of colorado NEVER gets over 4-5 inches of snow in the immediate Valley, so this was paralyzing to us... EVERYTHING got shut down. I work for the county so all the county buildings got shut down today also, but since I work graves I had to drive home in it (after an hour of digging me a path out of the parking lot up to the main road this morning). So my tonight is everyone elses "today", so I don't have to work tonight even tho the roads have been taken care of WOOHOO... of course my car is still stuck out there in the driveway... frozen to the ground... probably forever...

Cori, you are probably better prepared for the snow as many of feet of snow is normal for your half of the state, but Grand Junction only has like one magnesium truck and only a few plows, we haven't gotten this much snow in years and years, I love the snow but only after the roads have been taken care of lol, I just got screwed cuz I got off of work after all of it had dropped but not cleaned up...

And my automatic beetle was so much better in the snow, I miss it... Even tho my car kicked butt this morning (and me), to get home safely was amazing, and with the stock tires lol... You can see in the first pic I floored it up my driveway and slid all the way back into the dip lol...

Sounds like our freak storm here last december where it pretty much shut down the entire Seattle and Puget Sound area for a week! We didn't even try taking the Turbo S out of the garage as it wouldn't have been able to get up the driveway into the main road. We ended up getting around a foot of snow, which is 2 feet too much! We can handle a foot of rain in 24 hours, but not a foot of snow!
