Default Christmas Movies!!!

One of the things I love about the Christmas season, is the movies! There are more and more to choose from, with new ones all the time, it is an ever growing lot of them to watch. Does anyone have a favorite Christmas movie? I'm sorry if this has been done, I searched but couldn't find one. What is your all time favorite Christmas Movie? Mine is definatley It's A Wonderful Life! I gets me in the Christmas spirit as soon as I see it!!!

A Wonderful Life, indeed.
Scrooged with Bill Murray is a good take on A Christmas Carol. It has not aged well. It definitely has an 80's production vibe.
Elf with Will Ferrel is a ginormous favorite.
Fred Clause with Vince Vaughn was also enjoyable.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story are two of my all time favorites.

I like Albert Finney's Scrooge and Elf, too.

The classic Rudolph movie is my favorite!!! I always love when it comes on TV, even being 22 I get super excited about it.

The Santa Clause is another one I love. Me and my dad used to watch it all the time together when I was little. We still quote the movie to each other

When I was a child, during Christmas vacation the German tv would show the Sisi trilogy. I have it on video tape. It's not a Christmas movie, but it gives me a Christmas feeling.

Also I like The Muppet Christmas Carol

And a couple more of which I don't remember the title.

National Lampoon's Christmas blah blah blah is always good. The Santa Clause movies, whatever happens to be on TV and of course Christmas Story is always good.

I love the classic stop motion Rudolph and Frosty shows. They will be around forever!

More up to date, can't get enough of A Christmas Story (You'll shoot your eye out kid!) and I love Will Ferrels Elf.

I keep my TV on "a 24 hours of A Christmas Story" on whatever channel does that on the 25th. TBS or USA?

Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, and Miracle on 34th Street are must-watch movies for me...and if A Charlie Brown Christmas is on, i'm there.

Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol came up in conversation the other day at the office...gotta find a copy of that one.

Everytime I watch A Christms Story, I remember throwing a firecracker in my step brothers brand new coat pocket. It blew the pocket off! We were standing near the old barn trying to figure out our "story" and our Dad walked up behind us and was listening. Like when Ralphie thought up the ice cycle story.

Trapped In Paradise is one of my favorite Christmas movies. (But it's PG13 for strong language.)

Here's an IMDB user review:
Quote:
I absolutely adore this movie. This movie was not made to dazzle people or make them stand back and go "wow that was an awesome scene." Trapped in Paradise is about the healing powers of a small town at Christmas. If you've ever live in a small town, or even visited one, you could relate to this movie. To me, this is more of a feel good comedy than anything. It might not hit a lot of top ten lists because its not flashy and it doesn't have a huge trailer, but its a good movie to sit down and laugh to and make you feel good about the human race once again. Nicholas Cage, Jon Lovitz, and Dana Carvey's characters are believable, even if they are not dynamic. I highly recommend this movie for anyone, from the young to the young at heart.

Now a problem arises ...

From today on until at least Christmas, many Christmassy movies will be shown on tv. On different channels at the same time

Now, how would I know which movie to pick?
I want to tape the good ones on my HDD to burn a disk afterwards, so I have the all time favourites to watch whenever I want

"Scrooged" usually fits my mood, though I do enjoy "A Christmas Story". I usually kick off the season with "Auntie Mame" with Rosalind Russell. The Christmas part of the story fits the season (plus Ros was incredible).

I love Edward Scissorhands! But I've never considered it a Christmas movie. Really only part of it takes place during Christmas. But that's just me. Maybe other people do.
And I've never seen that Charlie Chaplin movie.
