definitely, you lose weight from the top down, face is the first to slim out and you can definitely see it. the boobs are the next to go, lol. that's what i noticed more than anything when i lost weight, could still wear most of my shirts of course, some pants were still wearable for a bit, skirts are easy when you're losing weight because they just sit a little lower and nobody can tell they're two sizes too big, but jeez you gotta buy all new bras!

I would totally love to do something on Saturdays; Sundays I have an Umstead thing going on (tho not every weekend) with a buddy of mine... but the more exercise the better, and the more the merrier!

I also really want to get back into swimming.. it's twice as effective (and also not nearly as sweaty) at burning calories due to water's natural resistance.

Tell Bill WTG... that's great that he's met his goal. I have ~40 pounds to go before I hit mine. I would like to be 235 and back in a 38. I'm getting a lot of muscle development, and am up to doing nearly 30 pushups before I tire out.

I think in HS I could do 5 pushup, to compare from a decade ago (but I was also nearly 350 when I graduated, then drop to 218, then came back up).

The cycle ends this year.
I went on disability in Aug 07 and by Jan, I had gained almost 20 lbs! I knew I was going to end up in touble just sitting so much, so I, like some of you in here decided to make some permanent changes. I cut all table salt out for one thing, I've always loved it too much. I am a life timer on WW so I could size up portions pretty good. I started in Jan 08 and by the end of Aug 08, I had dropped 58lbs. I'm very proud of that, but I had done that twice before. The thing I'm most proud of is I haven't gained it back!!! I just passed my second anniversary!!! and I'm still there!!! I want to say to you who are on that road to being "less", It is worth the struggle! I couldn't tell any difference when I looked in the mirror, but my wife & family say they can tell it. You may not see a difference, but your family might! I pray you all get to your goals and stay where you want to be!!! Good luck!!!

I finally lost weight in my fingers. Darn rings fall off. I hear thats the last place you lose. Maybe I'm finally skinny!

Face was my first place too, which is great for myspace style pictures. Saw on the today show that if you cross your legs, you look slimmer in pictures. (its working for me)

That's amazing! The way I tell if I need to watch it, is the way my ring fits!! I thought I was the only person who believed the last place you lose weight, is your fingers!!! Many times, people who are losing weight, focus on their stomach or mid section. The thing is, when I lost weight, My shape (unfortunately) didn't chagne. When I got down to a 58lb loss, I still looked down at my belly! It was still there!!! I think that is why it didn't seem to me that I had lost. I went from a 40" waist to a 34, but I still was shaped the same. But the last thing was my ring got looser!

argh! I had a nice long post and it got eaten.

Everyone's doing great! I'm proud of everyone, and I'm proud to say that I might meet my goal of 266 pounds by next friday. I am 271 today!! That's the lowest I believe I've been so far, i've not gone above 273 in two weeks!

This is 98% inspiration and 2% perspiration. We just have to keep motivating each other.

I think we should have a big GTG to celebrate once we've all met our goals!

Stress is definitely a factor to deal with, but you're sticking with it and that's the important thing!!!

I'm still stuck at 170 (started at 210), I've hit a plateau the past 2 weeks, so I'm going to try to mix up my exercise routine and do some hiking this weekend since the weather is warming up...

Keep at it girlie, you can doooooooooo iiiiiitttt!

Don't feel bad....

271.4 Friday
271.8 Today

Goal: 266 by Friday...

We all have our stressful weeks, last week was one for me. Saturday I thought I was going to explode.

But 2 pounds is still 2 pounds! Congrats!

I wouldn't think you would lose enought to have to change ring sizes, but if you have gained since you got the ring, and gaining has made the ring fit snuggly, it's a great feeling when it starts to feel looser!! Time to celebrate!!!
