is it your own sauna? Would love to have one too, but I think that in your country you use it more often than over here...

I live in small apartment house and our sauna is common to all our apartmentīs inhabitants. Sauna is quite big; at least 8 persons can be there together and enjoy the heat. We have a special sauna-day every Saturday; then we have our own sauna shifts. Of course we can heat up sauna whenever we want, if needed during the week...

I can say that thereīs sauna in every Finnish building (where people live) Sauna is very important to Finns; it is our pride and joy!

PS. I know there are different kind of "copies" of sauna around the world... They arenīt all very good

In Finnish sauna the temperature should be somewhere between 80 to 100 degrees of Celsius (176 to 212 F). Our former president, Urho Kekkonen, refused to go to sauna, if the temp is under 100C (212F) ha ha!

Another important thing is that we must throw water to the sauna stowe to get the steam out of it. I know "saunas", where people could not throw water; it is prohibited! Weird

You had the perfect spot for snapping pics Tapsa! I'm a little disappointed that there were no Opels there this time! Nice to see the Volvo Brick getting into the action though!

Tapsa--> I watched the UK Top Gear last night and caught the end of a segment where James May was drving in a Rally event. I said, "wow that looks just like Finland where Tapsa sees events". Well, what do you know, it was Finland. Sometime in 2009 is when the episode aired. You didn't happen to be there were you? Thought I would share.

Yeah, I have seen that episode of Top Gear; it was quite funny
Our F1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen teached James May how to drive on gravel roads! He showed tricks like "Scandinavian Flick" ... PS. I wasnīt there to watch the filming, unfortunately.

Rallysprint event

Drivers must drive one special stage two separate times.
Who get the fastest time is going to win.

Unfortunately no one drove old Beetles or Type 3 Volkswagens this time. Well, there were couple Golfs and Polos instead. And ONE historic class Porsche 911

I took all these pictures at the same corner; I only changed my viewing area several times. I hope youīll enjoy my pics...

Last but not least; Porsche
(I believe that almost every (aircooled) V-Dub fellow dreams of Porsche...

The owner of that historic class Porsche is a very nice 60+ gentleman. He definitely has a cool hobby!

I love sauna's! Damn, I need to move to Finland.
I've been thinking about it, for real. Country looks great, cold winters, good services.
But it's said that Finnish people are quite introvert and stubborn? What's about that?

So does that mean that the Chevy Chevette was a Opel too? Not too many Opels came here to the states as a different badge that I know of. Cadillac Catera (Omega) and the Saturn Sky/Ponitac Solstice (Opel GT) are 2 that come to mind quickly. Anyways, I would love to see a Rally race but unfortunately I have to see it through your awesome pics Tapsa! Thank you! BTW, I thought that Porsche looked familiar.
