Default Did you know that HPA is selling one of the most badass new beetles ever?

This is not an ad! Just sharing because I think it is cool.

I was at the HPA site looking at stuff when I noticed that they have a vehicles page. I took a look and they are selling one of those twin-turbo AWD new beetles they built back when. 0-60 in less than 4 seconds in a new beetle!? I remember how jealous I was when these were first showing up.

Only 16k miles, but the price is secret. I seem to recall that this kit cost nearly $60k back n the day, tho.

If I hadn't bought a new car last year, I would probably at least write to ask how much, but as it is, I can only look on in envy again.

Been a long time since i logged in, but I was so excited to see that beetle that I figured other people here would like to see, too.

That's cool! I hadn't seen much since they did the RSi replica with the twin turbo.

Hope things are well! I finally started using your roof rack a couple weeks ago to haul my bike. Thanks again!

Yeah, been a long time. I still stop by now and then but I almost never post anything. I traded in my beetle for a tt about a year ago, but I miss the stupid thing still. I'm going to chip my tt and get a DSG software update and maybe eventually get a turbo kit from HPA, so that I can have my own little AWD rocket.

Posted on this a few years ago and go blasted because "everybody" knew about it ... it is STILL an awesome job by HPA no matter how many times it appears here!

Thank again!

There was a 'vert one (I think it was at least) for sale here in '06 or so. We went to the local dealer and were browsing the lot one evening and were looking at the car. Something looked strange about it but we couldn't quite figure it out. Looking inside the tinted windows revealed the boost gauges and such. Looked at the price tag, and sure enough it was an HPA car. I think they wanted only $42k for it, which, when you think about the amount of work and parts that was put into that conversion, it was a hell of a deal. It was after hours that we were there so no peek under the hood
