Default My Old 63 Bug

I’m thinking of selling my 63 VW Beetle, it’s a honey of a ride but I don’t drive it much. While it’s in great shape and I keep it mechanically sound, I’m just afraid of it breaking down. So long story short I have around $10,000 to spend on a newer Beetle. Which would be the best year to start looking at?

So your looking for a NB and have 10K?
Get a Turbo S 2002 - 2004 they should run you any where from $6700 low to around 10K high in mint shape.
I paid 10,500 for my 03 TS 2.5 years ago with 47K miles.
But as long as the car has been maintained any car should be good.
Personally I don't care for the 06 - 10 face lift. I'd stick with an 02 to 05 best value.
One more thing. Turbos ended in 05 so the 06-10 was the 2.5 5 cyl. If that makes a difference.

Damn. That is the year I am wanting to buy eventually (born in 63 so of course I want an awesome car from that year). I hate being broke.

For $10k, you can get pretty much whatever you want in a used NB. I agree with Mutato, look for a 02-04 Turbo S! They are so much fun, they should be illegal!

Oscar is a 1963 and I'm happy to say, I'm the second owner. You can check him out at 1963 Volkswagen
Oscar is up for sale at $8,500. Check out his web-site and I think you will agree the price is fair. I'm located in Cloverdale CA (75 miles north of San Francisco) Gus
