Do they have a registry? I'd just follow that if they do. It really can be fun too...my step-sisteer-in-law got married to her wife a few years ago. It was one of the funnest weddings I've been to really.

Gift ideas for a gay couple should really be no different than a straight. Either follow the registry, or give them cash.

Gift card to a nice restaurant, one that one may not get to very often, would be a nice thing. And I agree with Pete, it should be no different that a traditional wedding.

Cash is always King. Gift cards are cool. But the green will go a lot farther helping a new couple get on their feet. Believe me, a wedding cost a small fortune, gay or straight.

Looks like me & the wife will give them a nice check as a gift.I'm mostly an open minded person & I didn't want my request to come off as me being biased. Thanks for all of your help!

A gift card or cash seem the best gift in my opinion. I guess there is nothing unusual about gay wedding these days so I think you should consider it as an ordinary one and get them something you would gift to any of your friends.
As for me, I always give cash
