Exclamation 1998 Black 5 Speed NB - $1000 or B.O.

Selling my 1998 Black 2.0 5-Speed. It has 307,000 highway km on it and I have had it since new. It needs $ put in if someone wants to keep driving it - due for a timing belt / water pump, needs a new windshield, rad, A/C condensor, electrical - power windows, locks etc. Runs great, shifts great, I have been driving daily. Some rust starting on it, but salvageable to fix or use for parts. Show me the cash, and you get the bug. Located in Newmarket,ON Canada. Would consider trade for old bug or Type 2 bus.

So it's time to let it go. Good luck! Hope to see you again at GTGs with some other beetle.
Cheers

Not in a position to do it right now, but I wonder what all it takes to import one from Canada into the states?

You can see it starting on the hood near the bottom. It is also starting on the right rear rocker. Very little right now - but it is there.

FWIW, isn't the rust warranty 12 years, unlimited miles on that year bug?

rust warranty only comes into play if the rust progresses to the point where it actually makes it through the metal. Surface rust is not enough for them to take action.
