So sorry to see this thread. I hope your beautiful TS goes to a loving new home.

Do I spy a Touareg among the VWs in the background?

Yeah, replacing my faithful Turbo S with a 2004 R32 also seen in that picture. Got the V8 Touareg last year and it has been a good truck. Guess I like VWs. lol

Default Money order scam.

I posted the car on Craig's list and knew that some scammer would contact me. Got to love the fake money order scam. Check it out. I am sure this guy is in Nigeria patiently waiting for my reply. I am debating playing some games with them for fun.

Goodday to you,I am very much interested in the immediate purchase of your item,Please let me know the present condition and moreso i will like to be making payment right away and i will like you to remove the ad from listing and get back to me with your contact name, address and phone number.I will be handling the pick up using my shipping company and i will be making payment in a money order.so email me back so we can proceed and also will like to let you know that i will be including an extra amount in the money order i am sending for you to get it cash, deduct your sales price and Wire transfer the rest to the shipper in order for them to come for the pick up,Let me know you fully understand and agree to this and email me with your contact details to prepare payment to you..

With Regards..

Jonathan..

You indicated that the intake is now stock; is it all back to stock or are there still some performance mods that need to be removed?

I am not sure I understand the question about "have to be removed"? I took the intake off because it is pretty loud and thought that many people might not like the noise. I happened to love the noise of the air rushing in and the DV whistling. I don't plan on taking off the Forge TIP or flashing the ECU back to stock. The APR flash and the TIP made a huge difference.

Unless this thing has a salvage title or something this is by far the best deal I have seen for a TS. Good luck--it seems hard to even give things away these days, everyone is holding onto their money.

Good call, I would not like the noise. I'm not into performance mods, I'm an odd-ball, I prefer stock. Just to show you how odd I am, What is a Forge TIP? Of course I have a general understanding of the APR flash; i.e. you "flashed the BIOS" of the cars computer motherboard.

TIP = Turbo Inlet Pipe, a higher flow, stiffer beast than stock.

Thanks for post with the TIP. It looks cool too. It was a real pain to install without a lift in my garage.

Also, yes the economy is slow and no there is no salvage title on this. Never wrecked as stated. Very solid and well cared for. Just needs a new home. I bought a 2004 R32 that now needs a supercharger or turbo kit. That won't happen until the Turbo S is sold.

No, but just ordered the kit from ESC Tuning. Will install as soon as the kit arrives. It has been on my list for a while. I have not driven it since I got the R32. It has been in the garage waiting for a new home. I ordered the plus kit that includes the thermostat and new engine mount bolts. I want to do it right.
