VR's have timing chains. Though on the 12v VR's you have the chain guides to worry about.

Everyone I drove Dave's VR6 this past Saturday and IMHO, I give it a passing score. It is #2 in my list of possible candidates.

The only issue I had was the rumble (between 45-55 MPH) from the Magna Flow Exhaust was slightly more than I like.

This thread constantly getting bumped is making me nervous... I'm in the saame boat as eliteboi, teying to save for this thing and its crazy that tis still for sale. I've been wanting this bug since I've seen it for sale on the vortex before dave bought it.

I hope it goes to a good home, if not hopefully ill have the cash in a few months.

Congrats on the sale. Sorry to see this car go. My stepson is in the market for a car and I told him about yours. He was going to offer you 3 but I knew you were asking 5500 before. Plus I'm in Chicago and didn't think it would work out.

It sold for less than it was worth but no one could ever come up with any cash in this economy. I got it sold and picked up its replacement about three hours later.

It's going to South Dakota and it sounds like the new owners will treat it right.
