2002 Luna Green New Beetle
Anyone looking for a Luna Green New Beetle?
I traded in my beloved Lumina two weeks ago and she's available for purchase at Gunther VW in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. They have listed her on Craigslist Miami and on EBay, too. They list her color as green. I tried to tell them that she's a Luna, but it fell on deaf ears. I added some chrome interior trim (on the doors, speedometer and shifter), black and aluminum door sill plates, a Bug Dash, CD player, aluminum dash trim rings and Monster mats. I also reupholstered the seats in grey leatherette as the original cloth would spot up every time it got wet and that drove me crazy. She had VW accessory dual tailpipes when I turned her in, but someone has taken them off. She has only 67,400 miles on her and is mechanically sound. I took care of her lovingly, so she's clean inside and out. It broke my heart to trade her in, but my husband decided he wanted a convertible. Gunther has lots of photos of her on their webpage and I hope someone will take her home so I don't have to worry about her sitting on the lot for too long. I swear, if I win the lottery, I will go back and get her myself! My husband took off her aluminum pedals and foot rest, a newer clear bud vase, VW tire valve stem caps and a trunk mat that I will be listing for sale. I also have another speedometer trim piece, a front VW emblem (that has a stone ding in it, but is otherwise like new) and a brand new black rear tow hook cover for sale. So, if anyone is interested in a Luna Green, give Amos a call at Gunther. Tell them Denise sent you! And if anyone is interested in the stuff I will be selling, you can email me. Too bad... Nice looking...
I'm sure you will be getting inquiries as to your seat re-upholstery job. Lot of posts around here lately with ppl wanted new seats,seat covers. Good luck with that lotto thing! (lol)
