Default 2002 Double Yellow CC For Sale

I have a 2002 Double Yellow CC Beetle with a five speed manual that I would like to trade for a Can-Am Spyder or sell out right for cash to buy a Spyder. Looking for $13,000 cash or trade. It has right around 75,000 miles on it. It is in storage for winter as I live in Minnesota and it only is summer driven. The clutch started slipping this fall before going into storage, so it will have a new clutch installed before purchase or trade. Sorry, no pics right off hand since it's in storage and I drive truck for a living and I'm out of town right now. It is Double Yellow with the addition of a VW factory black bra.
Thanks,
Dale

Here's a bump for ya!

I love the CanAm Spyders too. Wouldn't trade my bug for one, but I do love em. Whenever you get it, please post some pics in the "other rides" section.

All the best on your sale

No, just $13k!

In my day, we called that California Dreamin'! Now days, I think they call it Barrett-Jackson Dreamin!

Maybe if it had 7500 miles, and had only been driven to church on Sunday, by Grandma! and was at the Barrett-Jackson week before last in Scottsdale. Maybe!

Good thing he just became a member of the Org today. He's gonna get a lot of razzin' abt this post. Would hate to see a regular member have to take the abuse.

But maybe, any takers? Going once, going twice...

Wait a minute, is that a phone bidder calling...

I have no idea what NB values are around the US, but the price range for an CC NB in my area is $5,500 to $7,100. Unfortunate, I really do want a CC DBY, and I am in the market; however with this one that seems unlikely.

I bought my 2002 TDI beetle with 56k back in 2007 from a DEALER for $13k. And even that THEN was too much! Not sure you're gonna get what you want for it. Sorry.
$13k is a steep price.
Why does it need a new clutch already if it's only summer driven and less than 100K? Pics would definatly help your case here, cause the clutch wear makes me a little nervous about the rest of the car....just sayin.

Don't mean to burst your bubble (or maybe I do) but around my zip code KBB value in "EXCELLENT" condition suggested retail price which is highest value is $7,120. I think you'll have trouble selling for much more than that. Good luck

Blue Book Suggested Retail Value
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices for a used car, and the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history, but has not been certified in accordance with any Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program the automaker may offer (for which it may or may not qualify, according to factors such as vehicle age and mileage). This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

Excellent
$7,120

Looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning.
Never had any paint or body work and is free of rust.
Clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection.
Engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects.
Complete and verifiable service records.
Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

WOAH. I was taken by the fact that dude wanted a CanAm Spyder- didn't even really look at the asking price for that bug. I'm a bug lover as many here are- dare I say we're enthusiasts. With that being said, 13k is way too steep, at least for us beetle enthusiasts. Anyone looking in KBB will discover this too.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but dems the facts.
