FS: 2003 uni-red color concept 1.8t

So about a month ago, I traded my bug in for a R32.

Needless to say I was curious if someone had given it a home yet, well she's still at the dealer

Just wanted to post this just in case anyone was in the market.

I traded it in with the stubby antenna, neuspeed intake, and clear sidemarkers.... As well as the BRAND New 6 cd armrest changer that I had installed a couple days before trading her.

79k miles, runs great! They avena king $8900. Even though I traded her in, I loved that car and would love to know someone gives her a good home and enjoys her just as much as I did

Anyways here she is:

The R remains nameless at the moment unfortunately, so I'll refer to her as "she"

Although here in the states we only got the DSG transmission, and I originally wanted manual over automatic.. I've grown quite fond of it.

I love being able to press the gas in just a bit, and BAM she's hauling! Plus of course, I don't mind all the luxury items that I was lucky enough to get in my R. I was definitely lucky by finding a fully loaded one for the same price of the non fully loaded one that I was also looking at.

One thing that annoys me, is that absolutely no one knows what it is...

I've gotten comments like:

-"OH! I love what you did to your Rabbit"- grrr

-"I bet that thing gets GREAT gas mileage"- double grr (only b/c I'm sick of answering it and explaining that I didn't buy it for gas mileage when they say, "oh, well why would you drive a car that doesn't get good mpg"

-"Something sounds wrong with your exhaust"- umm no. It's supposed to sound like that, that's why people refer to them as "Wookies" haha


Anyways.... It was a definite upgrade from Chili, but I do miss driving her, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Chili and other NBs

BTW- the 2012 Beetle looks pretty BA!, I like <3

That would be sooooo AWESOME!

She was/is a GREAT car. I would have kept her, but I've always had a love for the R, and when given the opportunity I HAD to have it. If I was able financially to keep Chili, that would have been even more awesome!

I sure hope she gets a good home. I don't know what made me look to see if she was still at the dealer or not, but I think I may have actually teared up a bit when I saw her. The love we have for our VWs <3
