WTB New Beetle

Hi all, I finally killed my old Corolla so I am now in the market for a New to me Beetle. Though I have been lurking for years, I finally need to cross over to the German side. I am looking for a VW New Beetle model year 1998 and newerfor $3500 or so. It needs to be an automatic with under 130,000 miles. The colors I would prefer are green, yellow, red, blue, and silver, in that order. I don't need a turbo but a sunroof and leather would be nice. Try for 2002 or newer. And, if automatic is required, look for one with the 6-speed Tiptronic automatic. You will be better off than the earlier automatics. You can find a newer than 1998 for a good price now, but remember, 2003 or newer for the Tiptronic.

I'm definitely up for a newer model but the supply of Beetles in New England is lacking, especially in my price range($3500).

I have heard that they worked out most of the bugs on 2000 and up years.
