FS: 2003 Volkswagen New Beetle GL Needs Engine

Thanks to all the helped.

2003 Volkswagen New Beetle GL Hatchback Coupe 2D

Timing belt blew the engine. Needs an engine 2.0L. Everything else is in working condition. Ding on the hood. Scratches on the car.

169,004 Miles on it. Located in Lemont, IL 60439

1,500 OBO....

I have a 2.0 cylinder head sitting on a shelf in the garage. How fast was the car going when the belt went?

On the highway not sure how fast the car was going.

The valves on the 2.0 are much stouter than the 1.8T and the damage to the pistons can be much worse the faster the engine is going. When you say highway, do you mean interstate?

Yeah. Min 60mph.
