What would you say about the build quality of the NBC?

I think VW/Audi has some of the best fit and finish both inside and out.

I think their overall quality could stand a bit of improvement.

The 'vert is my second Beetle; my 98 still - after spending 7 years in the sun and basically ridden hard and put away wet - still looks great.

I did drive a Saab 9-3 vert before the Beetle. For what that car cost (49,100) the build quality of the NBC (29,700) is equivalent.

The assembly quaity and fit is 9 on a 10 scale, the quality of some psrts I am sadly to say its not up to par, some parts specially electronic ones made by Bosh or Magnetti are quite bad 6 on a 10, that itself its no VW fault (directly) but as a hole the NB assembly line is top notch (and now that the demand is not so strong they are made at 80% speed so that gives 20% extra time to spot any trouble.)
