Bummer, still doesn't help me any. Mine went out at 150,000.

Yeah...I got one. So what are they trying to say anyway? I have noticed a slight rattle under the hood.I dont know enough about cars to point out the location of the rattle. Should I have it replaced?

I originally thought I was having transmission growling, because it usually happened at the same speed, but it turned out that it was resonance at a certain RPM range. I could pretty much tell that the noise was coming from under the seats.

Just about the middle of the car in the exhaust system.

Got the letter yesterday.... I cleared a p0420 code the 2 weeks ago (catalyst under threshold) They'll proably make me change the o2 sensors and if the code comes back then the cat can be replaced.

I just got the letter today.

I have a 2001 Beetle and had it for less than a month when the MIL light went on. So I took the "Bluebird" in to have the light decoded, and it was the catalytic convertor. It set me back about $764.36, but it runs great now. I hope that I'll qualify for the refund. My v-dub has around 80,000 miles.
