How often do you treat the top on your car. I'm getting ready to wake our's up from its winter hibernation. Spring is finally getting here.

I have been doing mine 2-3 times a year, definitly prior to winter, and again as winter leaves. And another time mid-winter if I can find a warm dry day.

I'm not sure how 100% committed you are to Raggtopp, but I'm a bit of a car snob and I recommend checking out Renovo. Its made in England and is suppose to be better; of course I guess its all a matter of opinion. Its not as well known as Raggtopp, but its very popular on high-end car forums. You apply it every 6 months.

I bought mine from Amazon.com, signed up for their credit card and got $30 off...I ended up paying $7 for the bottle that had at least 3 applications to my BMW 328i. For $30, I figured that I could never use the card and it would still be worth it, but its now my main card (that I pay off every month).

Default Autosol

I've used Autosol top cleaner and their top sealant on a 1991 BMW 325i convertible for a lot of years now. I've never had the roof leak (it's the original roof). My top has stayed a beautiful black color.

Bavarian Autosport sells the "Convertible Top Maintenance Kit" for $39.95. I have never used anything else, so don't have another product to which I can compare, but have had good luck with this one.

The Bavarian Autosport link is bavauto.com . Just type in "Autosol" in their search and the convertible products come up.

I usually clean the roof and "re-seal" it early spring and late fall.

That's saying a lot! I had to have a top put on my '96 328ic last year just after it hit 22k. The previous owner didn't take proper care of the car. I'm a BMW enthusiast (I've had 4 E36s and 2 E39s). BAVAUTO is a great place for BMW stuff!

I have a situation that I can't figure out...
I used both the RAGGTOP cleaner and sealer....did so as specified~ but my top is still looking "dirty"... AND the water does NOT bead up....I was VERY careful to put enough of the sealer on...almost used the entife can, but not quite~ so is there something else I need to try?
ALSO~ do you use the top CLEANER EVERYTIME you wash the car??
I used a brush when I applied the cleaner...., I also made sure the top was dry before I used the sealer.... I'm just not that impressed with the product~ I expected much more!

I'm interested in using RaggTopp to protect my Beetle's roof too, but is it fabric or vinyl that it's made of? The information on Wolfstein says I need to use the correct type, otherwise harm may be done to the roof.

I'm just saying once again. I put a coat on my Z4 back in September and its STILL beading off the roof of my car like the day after I first put it on. Its top notch stuff.

Just a reminder:
